@VitoComedy They still should be. That "apology" is trying to gaslight artists into thinking that copy+paste = using a reference. It's very disrespectful.

This is a masterclass lesson in PR bullshit and any other artist would have been raked through the coals for this awful blurry swipe.

@VitoComedy I really don't understand why he apologized. WoTC is throwing him under the bus, and him accepting fault could tank his career. He should come out and say exactly what happened, even if it burns bridges with WoTC, because the story of painting over the original makes no sense.

This is such a tremendously shitty Photoshop job that I honestly wonder if Dan submitted it as a joke. The fact that they approved this dogshit version makes me desperate to see the actual Dan Frazier art they (assumedly) rejected.

@Hypnotic_Emma @GrizzlyGamingd6 The marbling isn't a stock paper. It's a process where ink floats in water and someone dips the paper into the water to extract the ink pattern.

@SAjoats @planefag You think FOSS has bad ui, you haven't seen niche commercial software that has zero incentive to improve

This is the exact kind of guy I'm talking about btw. I'm arguing that Github could stand to put a few hyperlinks in more visible places on the page and he's acting like I'm demanding the fucking firstborn of every FOSS coder in existence. Theater kids
Anon-kun@Anonkun80564929

@planefag This just kinda reads like an entitled rant. The world does not revolve around you, and if you want to get into FOSS, then you are going to need to learn how things are done in that world. I did it when I was 7. Also, lmao cygwin. Stop using windows for unix-made stuff dingus.

People really don't know how to use technology anymore. I asked a person today why some people's photos had the gemini watermark. The answer? Because they used gemini to remove the names below the photos. Yes, a 10 second microsoft paint crop job was apparently too hard for that person, so they decided to use megajoules of energy and 10x as much time to ask gemini to crop the image for them, distorting it in the process. @voird33r @vaxryy Bro, you don't even need to use paint just use the snip shortcut and select the part of the image you want. It is literally 2 mouse clicks.

@methodolog73944 @planefag Isn't that literally the point of git? To have a way to control versions to make compiling releases, bug tracking, and experimenting easier when working as a team? If you aren't releasing anything, then why do you need some fancy version control? Just keep it local.

@planefag On the other hand, maintaining installers and binaries for multiple targets is a nontrivial amount of labor to ask for, especially from what are often hobby projects.

ACKTHUALLY you can clone a whole repo straight from the command line if you know the username and repository name if you need the website to find it at all you don't really deserve to use that code

@NCyotee @planefag "Millions of people use it without a problem." Is this nativity? I hear about problems with Github daily. Just last week they were forcing ads into pull request descriptions.

@planefag What sort of crusade do you think you're on? If GitHub. Millions of people use it without a problem. All this from you not getting a compiled binary link like you wanted? What are you doing at this point? Step back and look at yourself.

if one more person says to me "this code hosting site's purpose is not to host code where other people can access it" i am going to make headlines if you compile the code are you not "installing" it
Poi@poiThePoi

@planefag It's simultaneously true that Github is cursed and also that the general intent of Github is not "This is how you install the thing" except in deep extremity.

@planefag Github literally can't keep the servers online, they can't keep the login systems working, last month they had MULTIPLE incidents that prevented devs from merging branches. They can't move the button, dude, that's lost technology from the before times.

If they all chose blue, and died, that would be terrible wouldn't it? But if I chose blue and died, then i would carry that weight beyond the grave. In a situation like this, I believe it would be better to stay alive for whomever also chose to stay. At least that's the way i see it.

@SAjoats @4w3s0m3n00b @Sanserachtotam And if your family or people you love chooses blue? Would you not attempt to save them by pressing blue too? As per the question every vote is private, how are you to know that your loved ones all chose red?

@SAjoats @4w3s0m3n00b @Sanserachtotam Seems selfish to allow others to die doesn’t it? By all means press red if you value yourself, but i am choosing blue for those who chose blue. Is it not selfless to potentially die to save others? Christ gave himself up on the cross so that we may be forgiven and come to Him
