no you literally do not. it's called "initial aggressor" doctrine, if you deliberately go out of your way to hurl insults you *know* are likely to start a fight, you can't claim self defense when you use violence in turn. However, incitement does *not* make it legal for the other guy to haul off and deck you for mouthing off... for the most part. If you *really* go out of your way it can excuse it, like when Buzz Aldrin flattened that conspiracy theorist that baited him out on false pretenses then got in his face screaming horrible slurs and accusations. Then again Buzz Aldrin is a national hero and the average joe isn't so your mileage may vary. It'll typically *reduce* charges or sentencing but it's not a surefire get out of jail free card. It is *very* possible for both parties to go to jail in these kinds of events. Even the exception for "mutual combat" in some states is very contextual; everyone has to very obviously agree to it, the fight has to be equal (same weight class etc.) and lethal violence isn't allowed (dueling is not legalized under that doctrine.)

We're all going to have to come to terms with the fact that AI is a tool, just a tool, and like every tool that came before it, it is just another in a long line of force multipliers. AI makes a lot of stupid slop because most humans are stupid slop artists. AI also creates genuine gems, because when a human with the right eye for composition and the right vision and the right skills comes along, the AI will obediently make something truly great. Just because he happens to have a magic paintbrush, do we say the artist isn't an artist? Well now suddenly EVERYONE has the magic paintbrush. And you'd think that if everybody's special... no one is. Except no, actually, there are exceptional artists who are still better at this than you. They can still produce a better product because AI is a tool, and using a tool masterfully requires a master's hand. We're right back where we started. Nothing has changed except the process.
