When the dog lost the ability to walk, he did not give up on his longtime companion. Instead he built a wheeled cart from wood, fabric and basic hardware that allowed the dog to sit securely while being pushed through parks and neighborhood streets. Witnesses said they regularly saw the pair out together, with the man pushing the cart at a steady pace so the dog could take in the surroundings.
