#NEW | Ed Gallrein, a Trump-endorsed Republican candidate running against incumbent Thomas Massie for Kentucky's Fourth Congressional District, held his first news conference of the #ky04 primary, outside Purnell's Sausage Company Thursday.
Gallrein about Massie: “Statesmanship's a tight-fitting jacket he cannot wear and he's proven it for 15 years. I rest my case.”

@EdGallrein Tris, DM those awful Ed Gallrein videos. You know he is terrible.

Trump supports selling off farmland to China

President Trump on Chinese nationals buying US farmland: You want to see farm prices drop? If you want to see farmers lose a lot of money, take that out of the market.

🚨Breaking: Evidence emerges questioning Ed Gallrein’s (Thomas Massie’s opponent) claimed length of service, pointing to a potential cover-up of another job he held — and was abruptly fired from — as well as his involvement in an NGO in Bangladesh.
On his campaign website, Gallrein claims he served in the Navy for 30 years. His current LinkedIn profile also states he served from 1984 to 2014.
However, a one-page biography Gallrein was reportedly circulating in 2013–2014 lists his retirement as 2011. Additionally, a Navy personnel data sheet lists his separation date as August 31, 2011.
If Gallrein is misrepresenting his time in the Navy, why would he do that? Why add a few years?
A termination letter from the company GemTech shows he was working for a private contractor during this period. He was terminated from that position in May 2013.
At the time, he alleged the firing was retaliation for raising concerns about deficiencies in training programs and filed a whistleblower complaint. The Department of Energy reviewed the case and dismissed his claims, upholding the termination.
Notably, Gallrein’s LinkedIn profile and campaign biography do not mention his time at Oak Ridge with GemTech. Instead, that period is folded into his claimed Navy service.
One would expect a candidate to highlight his effort to hold a company accountable — it would demonstrate a commitment to high standards and transparency. Unless there is more to the story he doesn’t want examined.
Additionally, Rocket Reach (which archives LinkedIn data) shows he was involved with an NGO called RDRS in Bangladesh. It appears he removed both the Oak Ridge contractor role and the RDRS affiliation from his LinkedIn before running for office.
It’s late in the campaign, and these kinds of questions take time to fully answer. Bottom line: Is Ed hiding something?
Evidence in comments.
