@0neWayOut @obdt_twt @Salty_Sealz its arguably the plot driver. you can easily rewrite the movie plot to focus around the grand star. bowser junior's planet cannon thing is perfect for that,

What I don't get about the Galaxy movie is why they didn't just use the Grand Stars as the main McGuffin like it's a natural upscale from the Power star and would've allowed Rosalina to have a bigger role overall.

@0neWayOut @Salty_Sealz considering the first movie is all about bowser trying to get the power of the "power star" i think the grand stars being a galactic upscale to the motivator of the first plot is completely within reason. use them instead of rosalina

@Salty_Sealz Because no one cares or knows what the hell a “grand star” is. Like it’s from the games story but there’s no motive to care for some item. I don’t think Rosalina should’ve been captured for the whole movie but it does have a purpose in kick start the whole adventure.

@Xingu1arity_ in the games? yeah. only one who's more complex is pauline and that's cause she had bonanza which is an entire game dedicated to her childhood.

Alright the way Rosalina is handled in the movie seems to straight up be abysmal but she is NOT "one of the most complex Mario characters"

Its kinda funny how in the galaxy movie they used the ruined dragon from odyssey instead of the dragon from the actual game😭😭

Man, the Mario Galaxy movie really confuses me Because as a Mario fan, it’s so freaking good. The world building and character stories are amazing and I actually look forward to what comes next. But as a Mario Galaxy fan, I’m so fucking pissed off

I’ve noticed two very different reactions to this movie based on what political camp you reside in. People who are progressives are leaning more toward hating the movie meanwhile people who lean to the right seem to have had a fun time watching it. I wonder why that is.
