I watched Dhurandhar 2 last night. I watched it in an upmarket multiplex in South Mumbai late evening show Witnessed something for the first time As soon as the film certificate was displayed, the audience clapped, cheered and some even whistled Every time some part of the revenge happened similar emotions were openly displayed by the audience I have enjoyed such audience participation in single screen halls but never imagined this could happen in this one The movie is long but not arduous. It holds our attention over almost 4 hours The only downside if you ask me was the gore and use of abusive language which I felt uncomfortable as I was watching with my parents But maybe the story demanded it The movie holds us, makes us a part of the story and also shows some dark truths In terms of performances, this one is a @RanveerOfficial show He has the ability to express all kinds of emotions with ablomb This movie will catapult him to the top Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal have also done a brilliant job And the most haraami of the lot our dear Rakesh Bedi. Hats off sir It's a must watch. Thank you @AdityaDharFilms for this epic. This is a watershed in the history of Indian cinema I have tried to give my review without sharing any specifics That is a privilege one must experience in a theatre Final verdict: Don't miss this masterpiece

PVR staff waited outside the hall, apologizing to everyone and saying there would be no subtitles for the 5 PM show at PVR Forum, Kochi. Many were disappointed, fearing they wouldn't be able to follow the film. When the show started, Ranveer got his share of cheers, claps and whistles. But, when the first dialogue came and the subtitles appeared to everyone's surprise, there were even louder cheers, claps, and sighs of relief. That was quite a nice sight!

It takes conviction and fearless vision to mount a film like this and Aditya Dhar sir @AdityaDharFilms brings that strength to every frame. Using every tool at his disposal to elevate each scene to its absolute best deserves a standing ovation. This is a film that rouses your emotions and stays with you long after the end titles roll. @ActorMadhavan sir is as effortless as ever and it was fire to watch him dominate every frame he is in. @duttsanjay sir and @rampalarjun sir delivered solid layered performances throughout. Shashwat Sachdev’s music hits on another level elevating every sequence and adding to the film's adrenaline. Big big congratulations to the entire team. This one will go a long way…

Just watched Dhurandhar 2 & all I wanna say is “Revenge ho toh Dhurandhar jaisa ho warna na ho 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥” Direction, Acting, music, editing, story, casting & every other department is MINDBLOWING 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The first thing mom said after watching the movie was that she wanted to see it again in the Theater with her friends & I feel exactly the same. @AdityaDharFilms you have turned me into a fan girl & I love it. The Mauryans weren't "central" to Indian identity and I'd argue that they still aren't central to Indian identity, but they certainly existed in popular memory via plays like Mudrārākṣasa, etc. People who make such claims are most likely referring to the fact that no one could read the pillars erected by the Mauryans (and many later rulers) until the Brahmi script was deciphered by James Prinsep. The Brahmi script had become unreadable due to the evolution of the script over time. I would agree that the idolization of the Mauryans (e.g. Lion Capital of Sarnath as the National Emblem of India, Ashoka Chakra on the flag, etc.) is largely a byproduct of British colonial-era rediscovery and nationalist reinterpretation, but that's irrelevant to the underlying literary and cultural continuity. In the case of Iraq, for example, there was a near total historical amnesia. Iraqis did not recognize the names of figures like Sargon, Ashurbanipal, etc. until they were discovered by Europeans. Both the script (cuneiform) and the literary tradition tied to it disappeared, so rediscovery relied almost entirely on archaeology.
