Since we’re only two weeks away from the 152nd Kentucky Derby from Churchill Downs on May 2nd If you had a horse in the Kentucky Derby who would you name your horse? Mine would be Pharaoh’s Magic if he was sired by 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

@1GR8FULGUY Further Ado has a shackleford type running style and could get loose on the front. I like the tactic in training, Todd is thinking further ado is a threat.

Workout for Dummies: Renegade worked with a very good workhorse and racehorse POWERSHIFT. He is no goofball- he can run. First thing that popped out at me was how Renegade was aggressive from pole, he was dragging the rider. She had her hands low and using her body against him. He is fresh and fresh horse will tend to want to do too much. They immediately went in 12 from the 1/2 pole, to the wire in 48.4, with rider restraining him. That's when the work begins for TAP, and they flew out in 100.3, 113 flat, shading 24.2 to the 3/4 pole, and out in 126.4 on our watch. Also, Renegade showed he will go as fast as you ask him to. You can see when she relaxes her hold he lunges forward on gallop out. There is also another dynamic: Powershift is a speed type, he is A fast horse and context is everything, Renegade is A late running, middle distance type. You are asking him to match the speed of Powershift. He did very well in this dynamic, despite not being too happy about being grabbed, in fact he looked pissed, and the rider was brilliant how she handled a fresh horse.

Breaking - The track vet at Aqueduct scratched Miss Apples today. Tough to hear when the trainer says she 100% disagrees with the decision and we’ve been waiting a year for this day. The horse is doing great and she thought she was gonna win and has showed no issues in training and our own vets think she’s perfect. Reason given was lame left hind. Can’t race again till May at the earliest. Vets doing their jobs I guess. I wouldn’t want to race a horse with any issues but when nobody agrees with that 1 vet it’s tough. Maybe I’ll pass on buying more horses at @OBSSales today. I’m sad.

Hey @JoshIsner when you going to stop listening to Bradley and Liz and they keep putting you in horses and you get nothing out of it? You take piece of Verifire who they knew had issues and of course Verifire hasnt been seen since. Now a Curlin/ Peace Corps when Peace Corps has been bred to Tapit a d Into Mischief and both foals have done nothing. Tapits legacy won at Saratoga hasnt been seen since
