Eastern Plains wind farms, likely around Burlington and Cheyenne Wells. My 7th year retired, missing those small town elected officials out on the Plains. If you’re looking for common sense, good governance spend time with these folks. A lot more there than under the Gold Dome.

In Colorado, #HomeRule still matters - and it's in the constitution. @CO_Municipal continues to seek #PartnershipNotPreemption and hopes the administration will cease heavy-handed, DC-style policy. And new for 2026, given the state's fiscal issues, #NoMoneyNoMandates.

The Governor’s authority appears questionable, and I would hope #coleg asks some hard questions about executive branch overreach and lack of rulemaking standards. Hardly a positive legacy👎

Ken was truly amazing. We were colleagues for 27 years until his 2005 retirement. Caring, ethical, focused, and devoted to city and town leaders as well as his own wonderful family, especially Bernice. May his memory be a blessing♥️🙏

Congress overrules w impunity DC’s home rule authority and #coleg does the same to municipal home rule which is in the state constitution, both are wrong and and deserve more scrutiny like this @emamet research

@PrincetonSPIA @emamet Home rule takes on many nuances, and what the Congress consistently does to the District of Columbia is akin to what many state legislatures do in thumbing their nose at home rule, even when it is imbedded in a state’s constitution. #coleg is a prime and consistent example

Effective governance requires strong collaboration and that was on full display at last week’s Arapahoe County Mayors, Managers and Commissioners Meeting, where elected officials heard updates from @COcounties and @CO_Municipal on issues to work on together at the state capitol.
