Exact same issue for me- I know my previous books and articles have been used to train AI (looking at you anthropic)- & when I run previous articles (written pre-AI) into AI checkers, they can come back as high as 90% AI. It's not artificial intelligence- it's collective human

Wait what’s the issue with this gele and ichafu thing? Are there no Igbo and Yoruba words for things again? Shey as an Igbo boy if I am speaking Igbo I should say “ikere gele n’ ishi” how does it even sound? It’s simple, Igbos say Ichafu, akwa isi or aki isi depending on your dialect then yoruba say gele. What’s the beef for abeg?

The only sect of Igbo people who call it Aso Ebi or whatever name you claim are those who don’t know Igbo language very well, perhaps those born and bred in the cities like myself.

Akwa meaning cloth
Otu - meaning group, cult, kin, fellows, depending on the context.
When our mothers were wearing group clothing for August meeting or for their group thanksgiving, for harvest and bazaar in the early CMS and Catholic Churches, never for once did anyone consider to call it Aso-Ebi until it became a thing for wedding and perhaps burials.

I have never watched an igbo traditional movie where women cover their head with headgear or Gele, it has always been beads on hair, their traditional attire tied to chest, beaded waist and a mini wrapper wey no reach the knee. How can they now be claiming the Yoruba Gele?
