On March 18, crews will be completing scheduled maintenance on the satellite network that supports SaskTel Landline Phone services (Home Phone and Business Phone) in Uranium City. As a result of this work, SaskTel Landline services will be unavailable for approximately eight hours in and around the community. While crews will work to complete the maintenance as quickly as possible, the exact timing of the service interruption and restoration cannot be confirmed in advance.

March 11, 2026 – SaskTel crews completed the planned network maintenance and restored all SaskTel services in and around the communities of Sandy Bay, Brabant Lake, Geikie River, Wollaston Lake, Black Lake, Key Lake, McArthur River, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, Stony Rapids, and Fond‑du‑Lac prior to 6:00 am this morning. SaskTel again apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may have caused and thanks customers for their patience and understanding. #skoutage

10:45 PM: A planned SaskTel outage will occur on March 11, from midnight to approximately 6:00 a.m., while crews complete permanent fibre repairs related to last year’s wildfire damage. During this window, Internet, wireless, and landline (home and business) services will be unavailable across multiple Northeast Saskatchewan communities, including Sandy Bay, Brabant Lake, Geikie River, Wollaston Lake, Black Lake, Key Lake, McArthur River, Cigar Lake, Collins Bay, Stony Rapids, and Fond‑du‑Lac. This work is necessary to repair the damage and ensure the long‑term reliability of services in the area. SaskTel apologizes for any inconvenience this outage may cause and thanks customers for their patience while crews complete the work as quickly as possible. In the event of an emergency, residents in and around these communities will need to physically contact their nearest emergency services for assistance. #skoutage

We don't presently have an estimated time of repair, but are aware of the issue and are working to resolve as soon as possible. @SaskTelSupport I subscribe to Sasktel Cable tv which includes CNN. I would like to watch CNN live on my iPhone but I can not as Sasktel is not on CNN's list of providers. Could you please work with CNN to get on their list of cable providers that carry CNN. Thank you!

@SaskTelSupport just wanted to check, do you folks call customers ever? I've had twice now the 800 number call me but it doesn't show up as sasktel, just "toll free number". I'm assuming this is a scam masking themselves with the sasktel number?
