BREAKING: YES! Minnesota prosecutors issue an ARREST WARRANT for the lawless ICE agent who allegedly pointed his government gun at a vehicle and its passengers while on duty. Justice is finally coming for these thugs... "Today's charges reflect an important milestone in our efforts to seek accountability for the harms inflicted on our community during Operation Metro Surge," said Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty. "Our community is still navigating the effects of the federal occupation. I drew daily inspiration from the courage of Minnesotans and the care that they showed for each other during Metro Surge." The arrest warrant has been issued for Agent Greg Morgan on two second-degree assault charges. The incident in question occurred in February, when Morgan was allegedly driving a rented unmarked SUV illegally on the shoulder of the road. He was trying to bypass traffic when the victim pulled in front of him on the shoulder before returning to their lane. “After the victim’s vehicle moved back into the legal lane, Mr. Morgan sped up to pull alongside the victim’s vehicle,” said Moriarty. “Mr. Morgan then visibly slowed his vehicle to match the pace of the victim’s vehicle, opened his window, and pointed his duty weapon directly at both victims in the other vehicle while continuing to drive illegally on the shoulder.” This kind of behavior is emblematic of the ethos that dominates Trump's entire paramilitary force. ICE agents join up because they want to feel powerful. They want to point their guns at innocent people and in some cases even kill them. They're living out a power fantasy and feel emboldened to break the law as they see fit. They're about to learn that their behavior comes with a price. Despite Stephen Miller's absurd claim that ICE agents have federal immunity for their actions, Moriarty is undaunted. She bluntly stated that “there is no such thing as absolute immunity for federal agents who violate the law in the state of Minnesota or any other state.” When asked by reporters about possible concerns that the Trump administration would retaliate over this arrest warrant, Moriarty remained ice cold. "The question is, are we concerned as to whether there would be federal blowback?" she said. "They've indicated they would not be happy, something of that nature, if federal agents were to be charged. Not a concern of ours." "Our role, by the way, is to hold people accountable if they violate the laws of the state of Minnesota," she continued.
