Was talking w/ a long time friend recently about downtown Seattle in the early 90's. We'd stay out until 2-3am and walk all over downtown, always felt safe. Joked that we wouldn't be safe in those spots at 2-3PM now. Was a great place, once.

Yesterday I signed a bill prohibiting double voting by fixing an ambiguity in state law. Voting more than once in an election is an affront to everyone who participates in our democracy. This bill makes it clear that double voting is illegal. Those who try it will be held accountable. Thanks to the Secretary of State for requesting this bill, and to sponsor Sen. Cortes.

I find it deeply un-American that individuals in unmarked cars get out in masks and pluck people off the streets. When I reflect on the hundreds of bills this session, I am especially grateful that Sen. Valdez's bill to bar law enforcement from wearing masks reached my desk.
