@SheetsLabIUSM We're sorry to hear about the delay, and we know that getting through security quickly is important. Staffing levels and the number of open lanes are controlled by @AskTSA. Agents are doing their best to get you through as soon as possible.

Do better @DFWAirport. Landed with 95 minutes before connecting flight to Indianapolis. Customs and security took 85 minutes. TSA precheck closed, two security lanes open. Missed connection. Pathetic.

@SheetsLabIUSM @YinYuexi In grad school I always wore the same pair of jeans for single-unit recordings. Tried them out for whole-cell recordings in my postdoc and they didn’t work. Haven’t worn jeans to lab since haha

Electrophysiologist superstitions? My senior graduate student @YinYuexi cannot pull electrodes before prepping acute brain slices. Me: remember to use manners when asking a cell to seal.... Anyone else?

As a naive graduate student 20 years ago learning ephys and ion channel biophysics, I always checked to see what Bill was doing. Glad I had the privilege of meeting him. RIP.
