Our Netball stars have brought home a lovely 1st place win at today’s competition They played 10 matches in total- Scoring 43 out of a possible 45 points and shooting a whopping 59 goals🏐 They were amazing and were super proud of them LETS GO TEAM SILSDEN💜

This morning some of our KS2 children were lucky enough to join @YORgreencic at the woodland trust hayhills farm for some tree planting. Our 14 students planted around 250 trees in the two hours we were there- how amazing!

Great first day on our year 6 residential to PGL. We’ve got stuck into lots of activities and finished with a balloon splash challenge for our evening game. We’re looking forward to our first full day tomorrow👍🏻

The KS2 Forest school after school club have been focusing on learning new skills through our Silsden 7. We’ve used ‘challenge’ to learn a new skills of chopping kindling. We’ve also used Responsibility and communication whilst using the sharp tools🪵 @BfdForestSchls

Our netball team had a friendly at East Moreton primary tonight. It wasn’t quite the dry match we hoped for but we drew 8-8. The game play was amazing from all of them, a vast improvement from when we first played this team back last year. Thanks East Moreton for hosting 👍🏻🏐

We’ve achieved RHS school gardening awards level 1,2&3! Spring is a busy time with young plants. In the poly tunnel we have English marigolds and broad beans. Sweet peas, runner beans, lettuce and radish, cauliflowers, garlic and onions. @The_RHS #RHSschoolgardeningaward

We’ve achieved our woodland trust #greentreeschool GOLD award! We have explored and identified our beautiful school grounds, become closer to nature, helped the community, looked at how to be a more sustainable and environmentally friendly school and had lots of fun outdoors!

Tonight we held our first friendly game at our school. Our netball team invited @EastMortonCEP over for some friendly matches. It was great fun and lots of great talent from both teams. Well done to all players, a fantastic way to end a sunny Monday☀️🏐

Some of the school council took a trip to Hayhills farm in Silsden this morning to plant trees as part of a woodland trust project. We planted around 60 trees of Oak and Field Maple and it was a ‘treemendous’ effort from the group🌳🌲 #communitytreeplanting #schoolcouncil
