The tiny ass house I live in with my family is almost a MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS. The cost of a house has vastly outpaced our pay cheques, I don't know how old people are this out of touch.

You also don’t walk out of college or university expecting to buy a new 4 bedroom house, two cars, boats, skidoos, etc. The reason you struggle is because you aren’t willing to wait and make do like we did. Your entitlement is causing you to struggle.

The Heretical Liberal 🇨🇦
The Heretical Liberal 🇨🇦@Rob_ThaBuilder·
They dont "hate" their grandkids. My mother is one of these Liberal boomer women and she loves us and her grandkids more than anything in the world. They genuinely believe in the Liberal Project and think it works, because it DID for them. They just dont realize how much the world has changed and hiw wrong they are now. They dont see the negative effects liberalism has wrought on society. They dont see the disastrous effects of Suicidal Empathy. They grew up in a world where rhe social contract worked. The World worked. They grew up in a high-trust, culturally homogenous society, went to school at affordable costs, worked hard and got the promised rewards, bought homes at low rates and many became millionaires as those housing prices doubled several times over. The system worked for them, its no wonder they support it. What they dont realize is the system theyre supporting - the system that worked - no longer exists. It has been replaced by something else, a grotesque doppelganger zombified version of the system it replaced; similar enough on the surface to fool the well-meaning but ultimately uninterested Boomers into thinking its the same one that worked for them. There is no convincing these ppl. There is also no reason to hate them or believe they hate us. They do not. They're just old and set in their ways, and to expect them to change at this point is to expect a 65+ person to throw away their entire worldview (and one that worked very well for them). Its just not to happen. Theyll be gone soon enough, and the axis of politics will change again, as it always does.

Female Canadian Boomers back the Liberals over the Conservatives by more than 6 to 1. 74% vs 12%. Why do they hate their grandkids this much?

My wife just made a really interesting point about Canadian politicians doing interviews on American platforms, whether Trudeau, Carney or Poilievre: “Why can’t they speak like humans when they talk to us here?”

People don't like this opinion but I completely fucking agree. Release print of Question Period, we don't need a live audio-video broadcast of it.

@sarobertsonca Which is why the cameras need to be turned off. They're elected to move our country forward, not "put on a good show". And FYI, it's actually unwatchable.

I don't think it's worth the risk to leave the door open any longer. It's a hotbed of terror and turmoil. For the ones that remain here, adopt a Canadian attitude, wear your poppy, and leave your home country's problems behind. The migrants of old did it, and you should too.

@groovyfinds @jackshockey00 No, they were poor agrarian farmers from Greece who moved to Toronto, Ontario, and built a new life a bit after WWII.

@SpaceWalkerReal @jackshockey00 You can want it...but you have no right to anything you haven't paid for. You grandparents migrated for cheaper housing further away from cities. You will also have to do this.
