@AutisticCallum_ I wish if I had known earlier that most people attend conferences not for academic purpose but to socialise and to extend their network....

#ActuallyAutistic Is there any option/space/place to meet other Autistic adults face to face in UK, particularly Midlands???
I am getting the feel that online support and acknowledge is great for mind but don't do much in real life....

1/7 🍭A post I made about what it’s like to be Autistic and have ADHD both at the same time. The internal push and the pull, but also how they can complement each other 🧵 #adhdvsautism #adhd #autism

@mrmarksteel It's same here. Purposefully and cleverly designed to deter people.

@mistressofline @commaficionado Coming from the horse's mouth- Shocking but unfortunately not unbelievable as there is still a huge misconceptions within medical community.

@commaficionado Unfortunately NHS autism diagnosis in Glasgow says women with partners can’t be autistic when they have gone for diagnosis. This has happened to a large number of women many with already diagnosed autistic children.

It's my personal experience too. Relatively early success as that depends on exams, etc but problems later on due to lack of those social skills. What do other #ActuallyAutistic think? Any similar experiences?

Just read this, one of the many motivational threads, and it hit me hard deep inside. This is where and when #ActuallyAutistic fail because they usually have quite good hard skills for whatever they do but no so much of so called those "soft skills"....

English

@AutisticCallum_ And sometimes those just simply blunt "yes" or "no" is considered an insult.

@AutisticDoctor Fully understand your situation and frustration. Been there....

#ActuallyAutistic The pain is real . Emotional trauma of being semi ghosted, no closure, ruminations.....the pain is real

@autisticgpshh Other day I was thinking about how my functioning is akin to this ball balanced by air flow.
When balanced perfectly, looks cool but can be easily pushed out of sync and really incredibly hard to get it back on track again.

English

@autisticgpshh Brilliant read.
"Level 1 today, Level 3 on Wednesdays but Level 2 on Tuesdays and Saturdays"
English

@autisticgpshh "They can change day-to-day, month-to-month or lifephase to lifephase."
I can totally relate to it
