i have (more) questions: why do we equate AI with robots and machines instead of constellations, libraries, forests or mycelial networks? why do we view AI solely as futurism instead of an accretion of histories? what if it's not an intelligence but a literacy, a new way of reading the world? what if it's not an intelligence but an instrument -- as in violin, piano, something to be played, something that sings? instrument as in telescope, microscope, X-ray, something that reveals, magnifies, extends perception? what's artificial about the raw material of human language, labor and longing? why do we call it invention or innovation, not evolution?

@dc_scrabblegram Thanks, Dave! The seed for this was the idea of drug doses lapping at the synaptic shore, from a phrase that didn’t make it to the final version: ‘pale, sodden [-ned] dose lap’.

@Spoonerrhythms Late to the comments section on this one, but once again this one is fantastic. Love the "lift serotonin / put El Nino to rest" combo, and "fill a rip's deep synapse sadness" is true palindrome poetry. So uplifting! 👏
