@HHitters5 @FF7FanComic @AdamLehrerSP @SocialistMMA You clearly don’t watch UFC enough because there are plenty of exciting up and coming fighters that bring in plenty of viewers, some stemming from DWCS or other leagues , or even veterans who drop in the rankings and fight on earlier cards as their career goes on

UFC is the only “major sport” where their athletes have to work other jobs to make ends meet All because the MMA community is full of right wing cucks who don’t care about Dana White stealing the labor value of his fighters, in fact MMA fans cheer it on and pretend stuff like this is a “feel good story” Joke of a sport

NEW: UFC fighter Ethyn Ewing returns to his construction job just days after his upset win at UFC 322 last weekend. Ewing was called up just two days before UFC 322 after Cody Haddon had to back out due to an injury. Ewing went on to score an upset win over Malcolm Wellmaker. Days later, he was filmed by a fellow construction worker back on the job site. Respect. Video: brucecarter47 / tt.

Wow you really are this hard headed hahaha Buddy, construction workers are construction workers, not the face of their company😂 These fighters are bringing fans in because of who they are, the hype they create, and the performances they put on. Their names faces are literally being put on the billboards to promote these events. You keep talking business, but there would be no business if the people who are literally the face of your business dont feel they’re getting the money they deserve. Employee sentiment is a thing, no matter the level or type of business. It’s a very black and white situation, and it hasn’t caught up to Dana yet, but it will eventually if things don’t change However, with this paramount deal, I’m sure it’s gonna change and these fighters will start to see a higher base salary as time goes on

With a tiny bit of research you can see that the UFC (on average) brings anywhere from $80 million - $180 million for their PPVs The BEST fight, where these guys are putting their legit life on the line to receive that recognition of the best fight, is getting .0625% of those earnings (50k). If you read that and still don’t think they’re getting fucked, I don’t know what else would wake you up hahaha

UFC is considered the highest level of combat sports outside of the boxing orgs. There are plenty of other orgs they can showcase themselves, but there’s a reason why this is such a continuous conversation in regard to UFC fighters pay And yes, to your point this is a business, and the business just struck a $7.7 billion deal with paramount. The more money Dana brings in, the hungrier these fighters will be for more pay. Eventually, we will see them either give in to the fighters and raise their base salary significantly down the road, or the fighters will start pulling a Ngannu and simply go to the league that pays the most

Well im not talking about boxing right now lol, Im talking about the fact that the UFC is a cycle of fighters being underpaid, and we then see only a small sliver of fighters truly succeed financially Of course there are fighters willing to take their spot, but then we continue to see the revolving door of new fighters once these guys literally can’t survive financially anymore in the UFC. We have this man Dana hosting his contender series on Tuesdays and then signing some fighters to fight in his PPVs less than a week later at times, that should speak volumes in terms of how little structure there is in that org

And fighters aren’t complaining because most of these guys aren’t rich, and most fights you hear these guys talk about how desperately they need this money. For the ones who have been training for years, this is all they have at this point in terms of a career, so they’ll take what they can get if it means they still have a shot of becoming a superstar one day. The problem is Dana knows if he pays them too much for each fight, they’ll only want to fight a few fights, and then retire once they feel comfortable financially. He’s playing this game of paying them just enough where they can get by, but not enough where they can stop fighting, so they’re forced to keep coming back to fight

If every fighter in the early prelims/prelims collectively decided not to fight, Dana would be fucked. Ads are a huge factor and these companies are paying millions to have their logo posted on the octagon If you were to remove hours of screen time and only host a main card, I can assure you these brands wouldn’t pay the UFC nearly as much as they do now, since the screen time of their brand would be significantly less with less fights Yes, these fighters on the early cards aren’t directly bringing in money, but the UFC needs these fights to happen, so there’s no good reason why these guys shouldn’t be getting at least a 6 figure base salary if they’re able to meet an agreement of fighting in x amount of fights each year

Is she cocky, or is she simply levels above these other female players and they don’t like that she gets the attention for her play style this early into her career? Cocky is walking into the press conference, or getting online after the games and talking shit. Talented is playing so well that you create pure anger in your opponents because of your skills, which is what (I feel) we’re seeing with CC
