Under the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the TB treatment success rate has risen to 90%, surpassing the global average of 88%. #WorldTBDay

On #WorldTBDay, I launched the 100-day TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan today at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida. This campaign will reach focussed 1.58 lakh villages and urban wards, with an objective of early detection and proper treatment. Our effort is to reach those who need help the most, including the poor, tribal communities, and migrant workers. Under the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, TB elimination has become a Jan Bhagidari movement, driven by the collective strength of our people. India has achieved a 21% reduction in TB incidence and a 25% decline in TB mortality over the past decade, both outpacing global averages. Treatment coverage has reached 92%, while undetected cases have sharply declined from over 10 lakh annually to less than one lakh, reflecting intensified case-finding efforts. We have also launched the TB Mukt Bharat App with the “Khushi” chatbot to help people access the right information and support easily.
