@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Not like yours. You split major counties with more ethnic minorities for partisan gain. Stop excusing it. You split those blue counties for nothing more than partisan advantage. You can draw a fair map that doesn’t split them.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Except it splits far fewer plus literally any possible map is going to have some bad COIs. It's just inevitable.
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Except you don’t need to split those blue counties. Partisan representation isn’t the only metric to look at. It’s all you care about tho. There’s no practical reason to split Milwaukee like that.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii A map that favors one party overwhelmingly moving towards a fairer position will inevitably result in a gain for the party that was disenfranchised by the old map. This is like Illinois democrats telling Republicans that a fair map there would be "purely for partisan gain"
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii I’m not fine with the current map, and yours is also a far cry from a fair map too. You needlessly split big blue counties to further your partisan agenda. Fuck off with the hypocrisy and deflection.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii ...care about COIs or splitting. You care about gerrymandering. None of your arguments are valid if your current map is worse on every single metric you attack fair maps on. If you're fine with the current map you should be fine with a fair one. Unless you want to gerrymander.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Huh so a gerrymander that is less compact and splits fewer counties.
I find it funny how outraged you get at fair maps because of "COI's and splitting" yet by your own standard the current map Republicans put in is worse on both those margins. Goes to show you don't actually...
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii No, the least-change map the WISC picked that was drawn by Evers.
Yup, and I can’t speak for why Republicans in the legislature didn’t do their best to draw a beautiful 6-2 minimal county split that puts your shit ass gerrymander to shame. Unfortunately the court picked Ever’s
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii The least-change map Evers was forced to enact because republicans wouldn't vote for anything else besides the map they wanted?
Oh you're telling me there's maps that split fewer counties and are 6-2? Why didn't republicans try and pass them? Because they wanted to gerrymander.
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Never said any COI violations were ok. Your map needlessly splits Cois for partisan gain just like you claim of the current map.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii It seems to me like some pretty glaring COI violations are A-ok to you in a map that gives Republicans outsized representation, but when FEWER COIs are split to create a fair map you go into a performative outrage.
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii I’m not defending the current map. I’m saying yours is bullshit and needlessly splits major blue counties for no reason other than for partisan gain.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Also you can't simultaneously defend the map as "a compact map that avoids splitting" while simultaneously deflecting it to Evers when it's pointed out that the map is not in-fact compact and does not in-fact avoid splitting.
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii No it’s not the same. Least change doesn’t mean the same. And the Supreme Court at the time picked the new map. They picked Evers version
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii The current map is the same as the one drawn by legislative republicans. It's a least change map from the gerrymander drawn in 2010 because Republicans were never going to vote for something else.
English

@StuartStrong @thelastbluedog best part of you ran down your mama's leg
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Ask Dems why they drew a map that did that. Not me. The current map was drawn by the governors office.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii How can you argue for COIs when the current map splits Milwaukee County three times? How can you argue for COIs when WI-03 has an arm stretching out to Stevens Point that splits two counties? How can you argue for COIs when WI-01 stretches from Milwaukee to Janesville?
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Wow you created a map that barely does better than the current Dem drawn map. How fucking pathetic. I’ve seen 6-2 maps that score way better on splitting. The geography argument holds up when your only remedy is to split for no fucking reason like that other then partisan gain
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Good thing my map is more compact and has less splitting, all while being nearly twice as proportional to the current map. Again, the geography argument does not exist.

English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Not like you split them. You split major counties that don’t need to be. How can you argue for COls when WI-04 protrudes outside Milwaukee County
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii You have to split some counties which the current map does very frequently and explicitly for the purpose of giving R's more districts. So don't pretend the current map doesn't split counties or municipalities. The difference is my map's splits create a more fair and cleaner map
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii Compactness≠county splitting. You split Milwaukee and Dane here for no reason other than political expedience due Dems.
English

@StuartStrong @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii That is not true. This map has a compactness score of 90 while the current one has a score of 50. Notice how the districts are way cleaner.

English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii You’d have to split counties and make a very non-compact map to get an even split. Dems have horrible geography in WI. The current map was drawn by Ever’s office too.
English

@kwlibertas @PokiJaciii 50% of Wisconsin votes blue so a fair map will give dems roughly half of the seats.
English

@NOVAaocfan20 @kwlibertas @PokiJaciii So did Dems really win big then based on their appeal or did they only win big bc it was a low turnout spring Supreme Court election
English

@kwlibertas @PokiJaciii "Yeah you just have to win by 20 points in a low turnout off year to win the districts we drew"
English

@thelastbluedog they tell us every election is life or death and we treat it as such
English

@crossplainsjohn @thelastbluedog Wait till it gets flooded with non European third world immigrants. Fuck you people
English

@thelastbluedog We've had blue governance for decades & are the fastest growing big city in the Midwest, have the happiest people, are routinely on Best of lists and coupled with our northern European heritage, we are strongly motivated to vote for compassionate candidates.
