As a second point on this, if ticket prices at football were genuinely affordable, you’d have young people going off their own backs and hooked on it without the need for tinkering with the game’s structure for a TV audience.

The whole idea of the Extra Innings show is genius from a marketing standpoint. Because unlike the first two shows, you have no idea what he's going to perform at that third show or who might pop out. Is it a mix of the first two shows? A grab bag of hits? They're cooking.

Refereeing decisions aside, Utd’s defending on both of those goals was extremely concerning, they defended like a team who were out on their feet. There’s no pressure on the ball, Bournemouth players had acres of space every time they got the ball while Utd either stuck a lazy leg out or completely backed off. They done exactly the same against Newcastle
