@AZsportsFan39 @GLundMedia @DevilsDigest We don’t have the pitching depth to win a regional, at least I haven’t seen consistency from the staff. our hitting has been more consistent throughout the season but not near good enough to defeat teams with above average pitching staffs. Making a super would be a miracle

We just might need to temper expectations. Playing in a super would be a successful season. Hopefully build some continuity and go for it next year

Incredibly bad loss to an Arizona team with just three road wins coming into the night, a really rough offensive showing backed by mostly solid pitching. Going 3-2 against this Arizona team on the season isn’t exactly a win.

FINAL - No.23 ASU 3, Arizona 5 ASU drops a tight one as the offense goes quiet outside of Nu’u Contrades, who had two hits including a game-tying homer. Arizona scores twice in the 11th to take the midweek. Next up: BYU on Thursday.

@pat_pistol_ii Rory passed Koepka when he won the slam and was most likely already ahead of Brooks even before that. Koepka got hot for a couple seasons and took advantage. He’s a hack piece of shit. He got put in a body bag by Tiger and Phil long after their primes.

For reference, ASU has six Quad-1 wins and has played more Quad-1 games than 21 of @d1baseball’s current top 25 in RPI. Ten of those top 25 are .500 or worse in Quad-1 play.
Hopefully that experience pays off down the stretch.

Really rough loss.
Cole Carlon struck out 12 over six scoreless innings, but the bullpen couldn’t hold a 4-0 lead, giving up seven in the seventh to hand Arizona the lead.
ASU went 1-10 with RISP and 2-14 with runners on. Should never lose a game like that.

About as ugly as it gets. The inning after Cole Carlon exits, three ASU pitchers give up seven runs, handing Arizona the lead. Suddenly, ASU has to rally after the bullpen falters badly.
