Can anyone suggest to me a couple of fursuit makers to follow? I'm mainly looking for semi-realistic, realistic, and toony fur suit makers who focus on more unusual fursona species like hooven creatures (deer/goat), reptiles, birds, etc. #fursuit #furries #fursuitmaker

Went to a convention a couple of weeks ago, and there was someone selling cheap DIY (printed in white 3-D printer filament) 3-D printed creatures so they could be painted to look like your original characters. So I grabbed this one to paint up as Marlow for @TGooseberryFool .

@nova_lynx_ @bamboosaber As someone with fursuit and cosplay-making experience, I understand. I just assumed that when they said complex would be like 7 plus colors, possibly gradients (wanting air brushing), much more chaotic patterning, like a sparkle dog, or maybe like a really complex species.

@Cybertoxinn @bamboosaber from a solely labor standpoint, 20 stripes of two colors is the same amount of work as 20 stripes of 20 different colors 🤗

Person: I've been quoted a super high price for a partial of my character so many times! Makers are price gouging. Me: I bet the character design is really complex if they've gotten high quotes from multiple people... *checks character ref* Heh. Yep. There it is.

@Horned_Hut @bamboosaber I do agree. I also recognize that it would be more to patten on the 3-D duct tape patten, would be frustrating to maintain the organization of pattern, and likely take more time to ensure that the patten a line correctly. I just kind of expected it to be more complex.

@Cybertoxinn @bamboosaber Imo, as an artist. Definitely difficult - especially if you need to observe the location of each strip on your body. But of course, this does not mean that it is impossible to raise the issue of pricing and tax on complex details publicly.
