I know lots of parents need help picking the RIGHT AAU/CLUB team. If your son didn't play varsity this year, your focus should be on DEVELOPMENT not exposure or pretending to be on a "shoe team." Status won't get your son to his desired destination, work & getting better will !

@trigonis30 That could be true, maybe they’re not “real circuits” but I do know kids have received offers and went off to college from those “not real circuits” and to me that’s the main goal. Maybe they are “money grabs” in people’s eyes, but if it works for a kid, so be it

The intent to confuse is intentional. Nike EYCL, adidas Gold, Under Armour Rise & Puma/NXT Pro are NOT real traditional circuits. They are MONEY GRABS & PRETENDER circuits. That's fine if parents want that BUT unfortunately many are being misled about what they really are

@JonahAntonioCHC Not only do coaches move up, it’s simply 100% impossible for everyone to go D1. I get the D1 dream and “thinking” it’s the “highest level” for U, but it’s not always the “best level” for U. Show love to whoever shows love to U

A mistake I see a lot of recruits make: ignoring JUCO, D2 or NAIA coaches because they only want D1. Coaches move up. Staffs change. The coach you ignore today could be recruiting you at a higher level in a few years…

@Uorangemen2 Spent $1000's upon 1000's of dollars on my son's travel ball "showcase" team the past 3 years. Traveled all over the US. Number of D3 coaches that came to watch us play: ZERO! LOL. Great experiences of course, but nothing that couldn't be had staying in Texas every weekend.
