⚠️TMFPD a will be conducting pile-burning operations at Sky Tavern Ski Area. Piles are located along Bums Gluch Road. Approximately 30 piles will be ignited.

The Regional Fire Services Study Informational Session is TOMORROW beginning at 6p at the Northern Nevada Public Health building at 1001 E. 9th Street! Come and hear from the respective fire chiefs about a study to potentially consolidate fire services and integrate emergency medical services in the region. Nevada Senate Bill 319, passed in 2025, mandates a regional fire study board to research the viability of consolidating Reno Fire, Sparks Fire, and Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District. Traffic Advisory | March 17, 2026 | 7:35 PM The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is currently on scene of a two-vehicle collision in the area of E. 7th Ave near Charjene Way. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is responding and will be conducting the investigation. E. 7th Ave is currently closed between Yukon Dr and Klondike Dr. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes.

⚠️Approx 630pm TMFR Firefighters responded and quickly knocked down a structure fire at the 5400 block of Lupin Dr in Sun Valley. A mobile home, RV, and travel trailer were fully involved upon arrive. Total loss of structures.
