@genospsychosis People don't understand that scene. It's not that Korra isn't intimidating (remember she successfully threatened a corrupt judge without the AS), it's that Bataar Jr knew Korra wouldn't actually hurt him cause he knew Suyin wouldn't allow any actual physical harm.

If Toph couldn't break out of Yakone's bloodbending grip and Aang needed the Avatar State, then Katara isn't either. Katara hasn't practiced bloodbending enough to do so.

Korra didn't earn any of her feats, these were things she was simply capable of doing with zero effort because the writers wanted her to never struggle
Aang actually had a journey and had to actually train. Korra was simply "good" from the start.

@notjustbtstras1 It's not like Aang actually neglected them, he tried to share his culture with them and they hated it. Kya and Bumi are literally only upset they didn't get to go on the vacations, which, knowing Aang, were prolly spur of the moment detors during educational trips to the temples.

The movie revolves around Aangs desire to revive airbending and he couldn't get what he wanted in the end and then a year later Katara is pregnant. It sends the message that he only had kids to revive his culture causing issues in TLOK

The Avatar movie actually doubled down on making Katara a booktok girlfriend. During the final battle she literally tells Aang that "this isn't you" and the movie ends with her being "very pregnant" as per the script. Holy character assassination

Zaheer achieved complete weightlessness and does not need to airbend or concentrate on flying.
