@dSebastien It’ll also work with calculated field. Unfortunately, though if it’s calculated, you can’t use the editing features on the dates. So you could create a calculated field with logic for dates.

@TfTHacker I have multiple such properties on my notes, so I need to be able to point at the right ones

@dSebastien The properties you defined, they just need to be a date that represents a start in another one that represents an end date.

@TfTHacker Did you include configuration for the properties to use? I'd love to integrate that into my action system for goals and projects

I have been working on Obsidian Reader for a over a year. I didn't want to share it until I felt it was good enough. It's finally there. Consistent formatting for any article. Outline, syntax highlighting, nice footnotes, adjustable typography. Runs locally. Just rules, no AI.

Once again @natebjones nails it on the head in this video. The old model is being changed, and the things that were not the bottlenecks in the past, or now the new bottlenecks. Code use to be expensive, now it is cheap. When code was expensive, we had to do a lot more upfront planning. Now we can iterate in smaller cycles and move fast. This video really makes me rethink how my teams are functioning in the era of AI. youtube.com/watch?v=hpDC29…

@billpetro sorry, that is a test function. Create a new base. Setup your filter for the types of tasks. you want. Change the base view type to Timeline and set your start and end date.

@tombielecki I haven't used it, but it looks very good. Probably easy to use AI to get it to write out the markdown for the timeline.

Obsidian + Claude Code is quietly becoming the best creator workflow. Here's the setup: 1) Build templates for everything → Storyboard template. Editor template. Style guide. 2) Write your raw script in Obsidian 3) Point Claude Code at your vault → "Turn this script into my storyboard template" It formats the whole thing into a structured table. First pass done. The key insight: AI doesn't replace your process. It runs your process faster. - Templates = how you want it done - Style guides = the standards it follows - Claude Code = the engine that executes Document your systems first. Then let AI scale them.
