Because of that, the bill passes onto the House for consideration. This was far from a unanimous approval/100 Senate vote.

Nope. The Senate passed a bill to fund EVERYTHING except ICE, who already HAVE funding. They passed it UNANIMOUSLY. Take this up with Mike Johnson who refused to bring the bill to the House floor for a vote.

People will say Buchanan or Andrew Johnson but I kinda view those guys as plumber-ball era presidents. The US was just so much less globally important and powerful so even a truly terrible president mattered so much less. Trump’s idiotic whims become instant global problems now.

And more stuff came out in 2023 that corroborated the story with the Reagan campaign, but in the 90s congress couldn't find enough evidence to charge anyone (or decided they didn't want to charge anyone)
