@OliverBCushing @allie__voss Derek Carr star QB that made hundreds of millions NEVER missed a Church service as a youth football player. Not one..

If your metric of whether youth sports are beneficial is the percentage of athletes that play professionally, then you don't understand what it brings to their lives. Youth sports teach hard work, discipline, team work, and goal setting. As an added benefit, they can (and often do!) make lifelong friends and create everlasting memories. To miss a few Church services in your early years for this is completely acceptable. You have your entire life to attend Church - you only have a few years when you are a kid!

It’s not just Catholics, travel sports in America occupy a really weird niche in family life It’s completely normalized to have your kids’ weekends monopolized by sports they’ll never play professionally, and many Christian families see no issue with it preventing church

Saw a new one over on the Facebook today: "So excited to celebrate JimmyBob's First Communion today! Dad and the siblings couldn't make it, they had wrestling." The state of cradle Catholicism.

@jensen_juicy @Nationals if you had to choose 2 between Taitn Gray, J Hartshorn and Ronny Cruz, curious who you would choose? Love your content Alex!

I was pretty high on Ronny Cruz last year, but even I didn’t expect him to come out of the gates like this. Honestly, the whole @Nationals MiLB hitting dev seems to have jumped a bit this year. But I’m buying Cruz as a real helium name and a guy I expect to rocket up the rankings. He’s got a lot of similarities to Ronny Mauricio at a similar age.
Alex “Juicy” Jensen@jensen_juicy

Ronny Cruz with the ultra-rare three triple night yesterday in the ACL, going 4-for-5. The Cubs signed Cruz for $620,000 as a third rounder and after shaking off some post injury rust, Cruz has been on fire in the ACL. There are some real tools here and he's gotten strong feedback. Could be a wildcard prospect given his approach, but he's lifting the ball more and making hard contact. Just comes down to if he can get a better feel for which pitches to lay off of.

Josiah Hartshorn (OF/1B, CHC) - The overslot 6th round 2025 pick has had no problem adjusting to A ball. Known for his power, the 19 year old has 7 hits and 9 walks in 27 PA with a HR. He's struck out once and is running an 87.5% contact%. Still only 5% rostered on Fantrax.
Carson Wolf@TheWrigleyWire

Josiah Hartshorn has his first professional HR! The Cubs selected him in the 6th round last year out of high school. He has maybe the biggest power potential in the system.

Bedtimes are one of the best opportunities for parents to connect with their kids As kids wind down, their nervous systems are calmer & they are are more receptive to what you have to say This is a great time to talk about important concepts like gratitude, kindness & mindset Kids who get consistent 1-on-1 time before bed have better mental health & stronger bonds with parents This is one habit you will both be happier for building

#EstoyTriste #NidoVacio

Take it from me, a recent empty nester: The Good Old Days don’t feel like it at the time. It feels more like hard work and struggle. The days are long but the years fly by. Then, one day you wake up and the house is quiet. One of my most cherished memories is coming home from work each day and opening the creaky back door to our 1947 craftsman home. My 3-year-old daughter (now 21) would drop her toys and run down the hall—her footsteps booming on the old wood floor—to greet me. I love my life and don’t want to go back, but I do wish I could pass one message across time to 35-year-old me: You’re living the Good Old Days right now. Savor every moment.

"Ted Williams was debating whether to play in the "Jimmy Fund Game" in Boston, at Fenway in 1972. Wiilliams wasn't sure until Mr. Yawkey asked him personally to play, so he did. Ted came into the dugout looking for a bat for batting practice. He was in the zone now, not like the rest of us. I used a W183 bat, I had no idea what it stood for, but he picked out that bat, and I later found out the W stood for Williams! Ted grabbed the bat and said: 'Now this is a damn good bat.' Then he went looking for pine tar and screamed out: 'There's too much f****** oil in this pine tar, no wonder you guys can't f****** hit.' So Ted walked to the plate, and Lee Stange was throwing. Ted screamed at him: 'Now throw the ball hard, don't be throwing any shit up here.' He took the first pitch. Ted Williams always took the first pitch. I looked at a teammate and said" 'I hope he swings and misses 20 times.' Ted took 15 swings, and hit every one on the sweet spot. He hit every one hard. I looked at Nellie Fox after the round and said: 'Nellie, that was pretty impressive…. The guy hasn't picked up a bat in five years and he hit every ball hard'. Nellie Fox just looked at me and said: 'Ted`s been hitting in the cage for six weeks, just in case he decided to play today. You didn't really think Ted Williams would go out there and embarrass himself?" Tom Grieve's experience with Ted Williams.

Spent the last few days in one of the most affluent parts of the country (palm beach county) and haven’t seen one person wearing Nike sneakers or apparel. Most people are wearing On Clouds and Hokas, lulu clothing and Vuori. Is Nike out of style these days or just a low low/mid class thing? Was never a fan of Nike myself. The whole Colin Kaepernick thing completely did me in. Said I would never endorse their brand after they used him to politicize sports.

Nihilistic death cult eliminated vs. hurt feelings of the people who won’t have to live the rest of their lives with that threat hanging over the heads? That was his choice. He made the right decision. Someday you may understand, but in the meanwhile, sit out the next election and get Democrats elected. It will serve you well.

It did extreme damage to Trump among apolitical men under 40 who believed he was The Guy who would finally blow the system up. The war in Iran (and the perception it was waged at Israel’s behest) was the nail in the political coffin for those voters. Democrats understood this dynamic immediately, which is why they jumped in so quickly (and cravenly, given their own long histories with Epstein) to capitalize on the error.
Cernovich@Cernovich

Epstein files cover up hurt Trump more than the war.

@TheChefMilb @MaltesePatriot2 @seanmdav BS! All of these fake idiots enter with “voted for him three times!” What is the “progress” you speak of? And do you think going into Iran (I don’t care if it’s for two years) would be as bad as eight years of Kamala? Not only are you insane (Tucker) you likely have never voted!

It's embarrassing to see so many conservatives attempting to justify Trump going to war with Iran. Donny Drumpf the Israeli cuck. Sending american citizens to fight Israel's battles isn't Making America Great Again to me. It shouldn't bear repeating, but I'll say it anyway: War is not something to be encouraged! Soldiers either die on the battlefield or survive & spend the rest of their lives so irreparably damaged many of them wish they had died. Instead of trying to own the libs, all of you war horny freaks should try owning a soul.

Well Sean, sometimes young men need adult men as role models who can explain things to them. Concepts like: these bastards have been waging war on us for 47 years. There are hundreds if not thousands of American deaths directly attributable to these 7th century savages. These savages are on the verge of getting nukes. A nation whose mantra is “death to America” is very threatening to the nation that these under 40 thumb suckers you are so concerned about live in. So, instead of clucking that the sky is falling and helping parrot Iranian propaganda, get on team America and make the very rational and adult case that not destroying Iranian nuclear capabilities would be gross negligence.
