Id argue they ruined their own experience with those last ten seconds. I get it, by the book that’s almost always a tech, however there were UConn players running on the court as well which is usually a tech.
The emotions were high and the ref had composure to not let his own personal emotions affect the outcome of that game via a bailout tech. I respect the ref in that regard 🤷🏻♂️

I have no bias here.
This is a tech 10/10 times. For multiple reasons… it would have lost the game for his team and he would have tried to fight the officials like he did nothing wrong. I just don’t understand it at all.
Also, referees need to grow a spine in instances like this.

Is the internet not on fire right now over Hurley not getting T’d up? It’s the pot calling the kettle black. Hurley was in the wrong for that, and he HAS cost his teams games in the past for these very reasons, but the refs decision to be level minded and not ruin the moment for the Kid’s that just busted their ass off to secure that win is arguably the most commendable thing I’ve ever seen a ref do.

Not saying it shouldve been a T, but if we are looking through both lenses… the Duke tinted ones are very different.
