@DC4Hope @oconnor_reports A hero? First off, it's heroine. Regardless, she just casted her vote, a basic civic act. Only in the mind of the exceptionally simple does this begin to approach heroism.

France just got free passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Why? Because Macron did the one thing no one in Washington could manage. He picked up the phone and didn’t sound like an idiot. 🇫🇷🔥 That is called leverage. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@AzPetrich All the left spews are platitudes, if not outright falsities. This list easily applies to the Obama and/or Biden admin, yet you heard nothing from the left when they happened during those admins.

Proud to vote YES on redistricting today. With Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans pushing states to rig the next election, Virginia has a chance to fight back and stand up for fair elections. Huge thanks to the Henrico Democrats and volunteers who are out at the polls making sure voters have the information they need and helping people make their plan to vote. Make your plan to vote early or on April 21 at iwillvote.com, talk to your neighbors, and let’s get out there and get it done.

@porterstansb A gun, an inanimate object, cannot hurt or kill anyone - it takes a person to pick it up, aim it, and pull the trigger to do either. By your "theory", a person who shoots someone else does not commit a crime 🤡

@Bannons_WarRoom Joke argument but what do you expect from the highly partisan ACLU. For those without litigation experience, a stipulated fact accepted by the court is the law of the case and becomes part of the opinion-judgment. If you remove that stipulation, you change the opinion.

@askDinaDoll @MeidasTouch It's fantasy to even think that 50% of Americans have any clue what Citizens United is, let alone its meaning or import. She doesn't say how Mont limits corp's power to prevent political donations, but limiting speech indirectly is still limiting speech = 1st amendment problem.

@MayforVA They claim things will all go back in 2030 - yah. When has someone in power who just obtained a new, expansive authority ever voluntarily gave it up later? They Dems think you are stupidly and will fall in line like sheep to do their bidding in the pursuit of power. Vote no!

Please, please...leave NATO It doesn't work at the moment because the strongest military member is helping Russia NATO was formed to confront Russia, remember ? But once Putin got kompromat on Trump. America changed sides So now NATO doesn't work because its strongest military member is working for the enemy Good bye. Please
Department of State@StateDept

SECRETARY RUBIO: Why are we in NATO? You have to ask that question. Why do we send trillions of dollars and have all of these American forces stationed in the region, if in our time of need, we won't be allowed to use those bases?

It's socialism — not capitalism — that creates prosperity. Norway has one of the strongest welfare systems in the world. In Singapore, most people live in housing built by the government. In Luxembourg, social spending as a share of GDP is among the highest in the EU. Most countries that score well on this chart do so because they have socialist policies in place that increase social mobility and reduce economic precariousness.

@Microinteracti1 You need reality to be explained to you. NATO is a voluntary, cooperative agreement - any country can bail any moment with zero direct consequences. Considering the US by far contributes the most and benefits the least, what incentive do we have to stay if others don't help?

Let me explain something to the MAGA crowd, because clearly someone needs to. They seem to think NATO is cosmic room service. You pick up the phone, say “hello, we’re having a bit of a war here,” and thirty-one countries march to your rescue. A continental Uber for military adventures. That is not how it works. Article 5 is a mutual defense clause. The clue is in the word mutual. And it has been triggered exactly once in NATO’s entire history. After September 11. When America was attacked. Not Europe. America. Every NATO member showed up. They went to Afghanistan. They fought. They bled. They died. In America’s war. On America’s behalf. Now imagine they hadn’t. Over 1,100 allied soldiers died in Afghanistan. British, Canadian, German, Danish, Polish. And yes, even Ukrainian soldiers, who had no NATO obligation whatsoever. Gone. Without them, those are American names on those graves. Sons from Ohio. Fathers from Georgia. Kids from Nebraska who never came home. Then there is the money. NATO allies spent over 100 billion dollars on a war that started on American soil. Without that, Washington pays every cent. On top of the 2 to 3 trillion the war already cost. And without allied bases across Europe and Central Asia, American supply lines collapse entirely. Without British forces in Helmand and Canadians in Kandahar, the Taliban reconstitutes in three years instead of ten. The gaps get filled one way. More American deployments. More American coffins arriving at Dover. Afghanistan was bloody. But NATO took the hit. Without them, every single one of those casualties would have had an American name. Trump called allies like these losers. Suckers. If you are a certain kind of broken person, that probably makes sense to you. But for the rest of us, what those soldiers did has a different name. Honor. The bond between men who have been in the same dirt, under the same fire. Between Brits and Americans, Frenchmen and Norwegians, Canadians and Danes. Not a diplomatic relationship. A blood bond. Brotherhood forged in places most people will never see and cannot imagine. In that culture, you do not mock a fallen ally. You do not sneer at the dead. It is the lowest thing a human being can do. Trump did it to a standing ovation. If you are a MAGA supporter travelling to NATO countries, understand this. There are no friendly pats on the back waiting for you. No one will buy you a beer. The governments who share your worldview sit in Minsk, Moscow and Pyongyang. Brutal dictatorships where journalists disappear, elections are theatre and dissent is a medical condition treated in basements. Not London. Not Paris. Not Rome, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Berlin or Ottawa. You have abandoned the open societies, the free press, the rule of law, the places where people actually want to live. You traded the best of civilization for a very small, very dark room. Frankly, it serves you right. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

@DarrigoMelanie Ha! You clearly haven't been following California, which has easily spent more than half of that only to watch homelessness in California increase. Indiscriminate spending of money solves nothing, as Dem leadership in cities across the US have proven time and time again.
