Salvy has such a clear understanding of how umpires miss. He must know that Eddings struggles with the low pitch (or umpires in general do or umpires with Salvy catching do).

Will be nice when this Royals team develops some mental strength. Same issues as last year. Pitchers struggling to finish innings, hitters failing to do the little things, not finishing pitches because still hung up on the last one you threw and getting taken yard.

Same crap with ROB. Won't run early enough in counts to do any good. Then, can't get the big hit to drop to drive them in as they play station to station and wait for HR and instead get GIDP. Need a duck fart to fall and break this metal block they have. #letsgoRoyals

@Chabotsports I'm sure their thinking is to protect his confidence and keep him away from an 0-5 start to season and the fans turning on him from Day 1. Keep expectations reasonable for the first week. Marte has experience against Sale (2/7). Thomas has a career 800+ OPS against LHP.

Illinois freshman Keaton Wagler passed his toughest test of the season vs Houston in the Sweet 16. The 19-year-old, 6'6" PG carefully dissected hedges, knifed through contact to touch paint, knocked down a trio of triples, fought for rebounds, and was terrific defensively. He finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 stocks while committing just 1 turnover. Stirtz and Iowa up next for a spot in the Final Four.

@DanBFox1287 Have scoreless 7 inning+ outings in his next 3 outings. Its the law of small sample sizes giving him an atrocious ERA. Since he really got 5 outs in the first inning (Cruz just didn't catch fairly routine balls on 2 of them) his ERA is really lower anyway.
