Or to take a brisk walk along winding country lanes, past neatly hedgerowed fields after Sunday lunch. Or to watch the village cricket team on a lazy, golden Saturday afternoon. Or to march into town with the bigger crowds to cheer on the football team. Or stand clutching a thermos of hot soup watching the bonfire. This is the British dream. To be left alone in one's castle.

Most teachers have never run a business  
They focus on outdated topics like the Battle of Hastings & abstract algebra, instead of practical skills like investing or entrepreneurship . 

Teachers are burdened by paperwork and pastoral duties

They have a work-for-low-salary mindset Many teachers promote ideals like ‘money doesn’t make you happy’ & ‘money doesn’t grow on trees’

They teach parables & religious dogma warning against being wealthy This leaves teens, especially from low-income backgrounds, with no role models for a better financial future.  Financial education in schools is theoretical, underfunded, and skewed toward budgeting, not entrepreneurship.  This is the reality, so the question is, are you doing anything about it? @SandyofSuffolk I don’t think it’s just cost, some kids have shit parents who aren’t going to feed them and those kids shouldn’t starve because their parents are awful.

A loaf of white bread in Aldi is 50p. A tin of baked beans or spaghetti hoops is 27p. Breakfast for a kid for a week.
