@ZubyMusic @arrington @ClareCraigPath I’ve been in construction since 2000. The quality of lumber we get today is abysmal in comparison to a couple decades ago. Especially the Big Box store lumber. It’s hilariously bad. You open up a house from the 1950s and realize the quality of the building materials was superb.

Something I've learned the hard way is that a 2x4 isn't actually 2 inches by 4 inches. It used to be, but not anymore because of course.

@jetpen Bit of a leap. What's the point of having verified accounts if they're not actually verified to be human? Verification has existed since the inception of social media.

@ZubyMusic The government's push for Know Your Customer (KYC) and age verification are going to love this sentiment, and push toward gov-controlled digital id.

It feels like the overall experience of social media has dropped significantly in the last few months. It's not unique to this platform, but all of the ones I use. Am I alone in this sentiment?

The thing that stinks right now about X IMO is your followers don't even see your posts...... I don't get it. Had dozens of people say they can't even find me trying to search me. Hope it gets fixed. Also, overall experience getting worse due to AI, perverse incentives to post lies, crap etc.

@creation247 Interesting. My experience has gotten a lot worse in past 2 months or so. But it was also awful at some points last year.

@ZubyMusic Agreed. The AI content is ridiculously obvious. Engagement farms out of Bangladesh are everywhere. Getting worse and worse. Makes it all the more important to follow the right people.
