It may seem hard to believe right now, but in 2029, BJP alone will win 350+ LS seats. Moreover, 'BJP+' will emerge as one of the two dominant poles in every state with >2LS seats (Andhra being the only exception). [By BJP+ i mean BJP being the dominant partner in alliance]

@sunandavashisht only in 2034, not before.. But even that comes with a big cost.. using 2026 census as base would mean bigger share for Muslims... 2011 is a compromise where relative religious demography shift won't be as huge

Many people are saying that all states will get uniform 50% increase in MP seats. I think this is fake news and won't happen. Doesn't make any logical or legal sense. Won't benefit BJP at all in 2029. So why would they rush this bill now ?

Bjp mixed up delimitation and womens reservation , and instead of simple majority with no obligation for proportional increase, it needs 2/3rds majority and concession of proportional increase. 🥲 All this would have been even worse if based on 2027 census, thankfully dat changed

Delimitation Bill requires a Simple Majority. It will be passed anyhow . Women Representation Bill requires 2/3rd majority which will be passed by Consensus of All parties .

कथित GC आंदोलन कारियों के स्पेस में कहा जा रहा है कि उत्तर प्रदेश में योगी को हराना ही होगा। और हरा कर किसको लाएंगे अखिलेश यादव की समाजवादी पार्टी की सरकार को। इन GC आंदोलकारियों की याद ताजा करवा दूँ कि अखिलेश की सरकार में ➡️ हिंदुओं का मंदिर में घंटा बजाना मना था। पुलिस घंटा पकड़ कर खड़ी रहती थी। ➡️ मउ दंगा और मुज़फ्फरनगर के दंगे समाजबादी पार्टी के सरकार में हुए थे जिसमें घर घर से हिंदुओं को निकाल कर मारा गया था। ➡️ अखिलेश सरकार प्राइवेट नौकरियों में आरक्षण और मुस्लिमो को अलग से आरक्षण देने के पक्ष में है। ➡️ हिंदुओं की सर्वाधिक हत्या समाजवादी पार्टी की सरकार के समय मे हुई थी और अतीक अहमद और मुख्तार अंसारी जैसे लोगों का राज था। ➡️ कांवर यात्रा के कई रूट को बदल दिया गया था। डीजे बजाने पर प्रतिबंध था। और ये GC आंदोलकारी उत्तर प्रदेश में योगी सरकार को हरा कर फिर से समाजवादी पार्टी की सरकार लाना चाहते हैं।

@Vasudha156 This panic is useless brouhaha. BJP isn't going to tinker with state representation. From a pure electoral POV, they’re already strong in KT & TS, and eyeing 25-30% voteshare in KL & TN by 2029. Long-term, they don't need to cut seats in south to stay on top nationwide!
