@virsanghvi ..2/2..As for clubs, they have total rights & freedom to buy their own private land with their own money & do whatever there. The best fun these 70 years old uncles do is only to consume alcohol & self-aggrandize anyway. Let them do it there. No trouble from daughters-in-law‼️👍

@virsanghvi Politicians are temporary even when they win and rule ( 5 years) , politicians fall ( e.g. Mamata, Stalin)... There's no comparison. Retired bureaucrats get their hefty pensions ( while we private workers don't) that's more than enough they deserve....1/2..

Sharp Edge: I don’t like Raj era clubs and I will never become a member of one. So whatever happens to the Delhi Gym makes no difference to my life. And yes it may be unfair to charge only a nominal rent to a club that mostly caters to retired army officers & civil servants But if you are talking about unfairness why stop at veterans? Why not throw ministers out of their huge houses? Why not take away their motorcades? Ground their private planes? Today’s Lutyens elite comprises politicians who have run Lutyens Delhi for a decade and live in those huge Lutyens bungalows.Why pamper the new Lutyens elite and persecute soldiers who have fought for our country and bureaucrats who gave their lives for India ? Don’t swallow the propaganda & the lies. Don’t let political dadagiri extend to attacking veterans and retired civil servants while politicians live off honest tax payers theprint.in/opinion/sharp-…

For some, Gymkhana is home. They head in their car 🚘 there for morning tea 🫖 , newspaper 🗞️ read, a long stroll 🚶‍♂️, a tennis 🎾 game, a snooze, ringing the table bell 🔔 for lunch 🥗 , a beer 🍻 and early dinner and return home! They can’t imagine their life without Gymkhana!

By all means run a bulldozer over Delhi Gymkhana. But don’t give the bullshit of exclusivity or privilege or tax payer money. If thats the standard we are living by then shut down Constitution Club; demolish the CSOI where govt land was given at throw away price to babus; shut down DSOI; take back all newspaper properties on BSZ Marg; Take back all lands given to NGOs which are profit centres; demolish IIC and Habitat Centre; stop subsidised food in parliament. MPs get paid so why should their food be subsidised? if they cant afford it, step down from parliament and do something that pays you enough. Shut down the Air Force and Army Golf Clubs, Santushti Centre, Race Club, and the Delhi Flying Club where no one flies anything. The DGC is being targeted because someone has an axe to grind and didnt get membership. Now its being made an elite vs non-elite fight which it isn't. But since we all want to play Bolshevik commies or are inspired by CCP and Khmer Rouge to demolish everything nice, decent, genteel, lets do a comprehensive job of it. Make it all a animal shelter which would warm the cockles of Pol Pot's heart. But please don’t give the BS of security because that is total hogwash. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@TheNativist_ Your leftist socialist liberal (police+politicians+judges) should take 90% of the responsibility/ blame. The advantage taking criminals/ terrorists are only 10% responsible. Remember that in the next election and elect real nationalist leaders to rule your country.

I have refrained from talking about Henry Nowak so far because I was too angry. I remain too angry. I'm angry at the scumbag who stabbed an 18-year-old boy to death. Who drove a blade into the back of his legs to stop him from running, then finished him by skewering him through the chest with an 8-inch blade. All while that poor boy tried desperately to escape. I'm angry that the same scumbag then cried "racism" to cover his tracks, claiming self-defence after pursuing and butchering an innocent boy who just wanted to get home. I'm angry at the parents who tried to hide the murder weapon and shield their killer son from justice, putting blood loyalty above any sense of right and wrong. I'm angry at the police who handcuffed a bleeding teenager while he cried "I'm dying" and "I can't breathe," and let him bleed out in the street. All because his attacker cried racism. I'm angry at the judge who has introduced manslaughter as an alternative verdict before the jury even had a chance to decide. Robbing Henry's family of the proper verdict on what was clearly cold-blooded murder. I'm angry at a nation that grants religious exemptions so minorities can carry deadly blades in public while locking up natives for far less. A nation that has opened the floodgates to migrants who want us dead and now watches its own young bleed out in the name of "diversity." I'm angry that we've allowed it to happen. I'm angry.

Noted gymkhana club member, @sushantsareen viciously assaulted me on @ndtv today. I was referred to as a “scoundrel” just because he was upset his membership was now worthless. To note: sushant can’t walk in to gymkhana - he has to be taken in on a forklift

How Devendra Fadnavis ruined Maharashtra : > Mumbai-Pune missing link increased number of possible buses and hampered Taxi services. > Metro Infrastructure in cities took away employment from Rickshaw Drivers. > Irrigation projects in Marathwada rendered Tankers redundant in many villages. > Direct Money Transfer to female bank accounts destroyed the local liquor economy by cutting cash flow to drunk husbands. > Naxal free Vidarbha took away prospective interview opportunities for Marathi Media. > FDI in core sectors provided employment and reduced Cockroaches from the system. > Digital Maharashtra made many agents shut shop and find new pastures. Marathi Manoos cannot be happy until this man is in power.

@FI_InvestIndia When I was in the US, travelling 430 kms ( 270 miles) by your own car felt so easy peasy. I wish we had better roads in India too. We do have good highways in India but I still don't feel safe to drive on them. So many unruly drivers. Not sticking to lanes..

My son Prakrit and myself had a sleeper train ticket at 1.50 PM today. When we were about to leave home at 12 PM, we got an sms telling us that the train is delayed by over 6 hours 😂😂 There was another train at 2 PM, but tickets were not available on IRCTC website. We took an auto to the railway station to see if we could explore a direct ticket in the counter. But all other trains had no tickets and the next train which had a reserved ticket was at 4 PM. My son was observing. I told him that life is unpredictable. Let's find a solution. Our journey was over 430 kms 😀😀 he was super excited and decided we will take a bus. The raw route. We walked to the bus stand. A passenger bus was just leaving. We got into the bus and now traveling. We will reach probably by late night. My son had the following learnings : - Life is unpredictable. We should learn to adapt. - Common man travels in the most local way. We need to get that experience. It's an important part of life. - Traveling raw teaches lessons which no book can ever teach. - The earth is so much more beautiful when we travel by road. - We saw different kinds of people travelling. We could share our snacks with many of them. Some nice moments. - The bus stops are every town on the way. This teaches patience. I think our next generation should learn to adapt, and be able to achieve anything inspite of anything. Our children should be exposed to the raw life. As we travel in the local bus, enjoying the scenery and the wind, just penning this down ❤️❤️❤️ #FI

@ANI It has a staff of 600 people and you claim it is not for rich people? The salary alone would be ~ ₹25 crores minimum per year (maybe a lot more) , apart from maintenance+ electricity+ Internet+ food+ drinks+ stuff for entertainment... Running in multiple Crores (100 crore?)‼️

#WATCH | Delhi: On Centre’s order on Delhi Gymkhana Club, Rumnita Mittal, Member of the Club, says, "The first issue I think mostly is that we have to bust the myth that Gymkhana Club belongs to super-rich people with big cars or a lot of money, which is a total myth. The permanent members, 50% are armed forces, retired personnel. Then there are the bureaucrats. The bureaucrats who have made the policy decisions. They are the ones who, after retirement, are sitting here having a cup of tea in this open environment... How can you, within two weeks, tell us to vacate? What about the staff? 500-600 staff, where will they go? They will be on the roads... It's a heritage building. It's got grass courts, which you will barely find in Delhi, and we've held international tournaments here. It is a sports club and is used by veterans and retired people. So it would be very unfair to them that overnight you take away their place from them..."

@Iyervval I am happy to be "limited" to my wines. (So far tested American, Brazilian, Australian, French, South African, Belgian, Italian). Used to like red ones, now only white ones, occassionally rosé.

Scotch appreciation is a highly refined art. One must first understand of it is a blend or a single malt. Then one must gauge the peatiness of it. To do this one must first expertly select a heavy glass carved from a single crystal. The choice of temperature is another refined art. Ice? Cold water (not more than a dash)? Cold stones? Then comes the most complex art of all - tasting. Thsi requires more skill than any smelly- sweaty Olympian can gather. My biggest complain about Gymkhana is that most of the guys there don’t understand these nuances. They’d be happy if you gave them industrial alcohol tinged with amber and artifical whiskey flavour.
Varun Kumar Rana@VarunKrRana

Gymkhana Club defenders are acting like the government is shutting down an Olympic training facility that produced 40 gold medalists. I didn’t realize 'lifting scotch' was considered a sport.

@kcl0391 @KiritSomaiya Yes, that's ok. Poor fisherwomen selling fish is OK. Eating non veg is also OK. It's the right of the people, and is fully legal. Slaughtering animals openly is illegal in entire India under numerous laws. On Eid, such laws are not followed, hence the special request‼️🙏
