Sanu says, "The AC explosion occurred around 2 PM at the office of the Thiruvananthapuram District Sports Council, which operates within the main Keralam State Sports Council headquarters compound. According to the information currently available, the blast took place while AC mechanics were conducting maintenance and refilling refrigerant gas in the unit. It is understood that the explosion was triggered during this ongoing mechanical repair work. Two mechanics have been admitted to the Medical College Hospital. One of them suffered burn injuries, while the other sustained injuries after parts of the AC engine scattered and hit his body. This is the current situation."

#WATCH | Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam: An AC explosion in the Thiruvananthapuram District Sports Council office injured two technicians. Both individuals have been rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital for urgent treatment. The blast occurred while they were refilling the refrigerant gas. One technician sustained severe burn injuries from the gas cylinder, while the other was struck by flying debris as shards of the unit scattered across the room.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested five accused persons and conducted searches at several locations across the country in connection with the alleged irregularities and paper leak related to the NEET UG-2026 examination. CBI had registered a case on 12 May 2026 on the basis of a written complaint received from the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, regarding alleged irregularities and paper leak in the conduct of the NEET UG-2026 examination. The FIR was registered for offences including criminal conspiracy, cheating, criminal breach of trust and other relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Prevention of Corruption Act, and the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024. So far, the CBI has arrested five accused persons in the case — three from Jaipur, one from Gurugram and one from Nashik. Several other suspects are currently being examined.

Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Sushil Gokhroo and 04 other persons, namely, Rajendra Singh Bisht, Tarun Kumar Mourya, Gaurav Rohilla and Mamta Bhandari, from different locations in the country, in LUCC Chit Fund Scam of Uttarakhand. High Court of Uttrakhand, Nainital Bench had passed orders transferring all the FIRs pertaining to Loni Urban Multi State Credit and Thrift Co-operative Society (LUCC) Chit Fund Scam to CBI in the Year 2025, based on which the CBI has registered a case on 26.11.2025 under various sections of IPC, BNS and Uttrakhand Protection of Interests of Depositors Act and Banning of Unregulated Deposits Schemes Act against various office bearers of LUCC and others. Investigation so far has brought forth an unprecedented scale of victimisation of public in the State of Uttrakhand in which a very large number of investors (more than 1 lakh approx.) were lured to invest in various unregulated deposit schemes of LUCC. The total investment/ deposits made by these depositors is estimated to the tune of Rs.800 crores approx. Part repayments were made but the fraud amount is more than Rs.400 crores. Investigation in this case is going on a day to day basis and special team has been constituted to track and trace the accused based on technical surveillance and source informations. The main accused in this case is Sameer Agrawal, who along with his wife Saniya Agrawal have absconded abroad and CBI has opened notices and circulars against them. Investigation has also revealed that several immovable properties were acquired by the accused persons from the proceeds of crime and details about these properties have been shared with the competent authority which is Secretary, Finance, Government of Uttrakhand with a request to freeze these properties and take necessary action to distribute them to the victims under the provisions of Banning of Unregulated Deposit Schemes (BUDS) Act 2019. The arrested accused persons are being produced before the Competent Court. Investigation is continuing.
