We have to celebrate the Hermanus Country Market, a gem that has been running every Saturday for fifteen years in the most stunning outdoor setting 🥰 As you will see in this short clip, it is full of people (and pets) who create with love, pour their hearts into their craft, and share their work with the community in the most real and authentic way ❤️ I have always been drawn to markets because they take me back to a time when people made things with their own hands, traded face to face, and put passion into every little detail. The more I travel across South Africa, the more I see the truth that the soul of this country resides in small towns. We've been in Hermanus since Thursday shooting another @likeatouristza video. I have only ever passed through this beautiful town but never stayed for more than a day. I knew it was beautiful but I didn't fully understand the allure until this trip. Hermanus really is heaven on earth! If there's one gift above all that Like a Tourist has afforded me in the last 18 months, it's a brand new perspective about South Africa. These four drone shots are just a few teasers of our adventure. I'll post a bit more shortly but I am absolutely blown away by the Overberg region. Big love to @SasolSA, @KiaSouthAfrica, and @Veldskoenshoes for helping us make this trip possible. We have quite a backlog in terms of videos but we are working around the clock to get them out ASAP 🇿🇦❤️

Last night, our @likeatouristza YouTube channel crossed over 10k subscribers 🥳 It took us just over a year. Anyone that has ever started a YouTube channel will tell you that crossing this psychological barrier is a massive achievement because it comes off the back of many late nights. I just want to say thank you to everyone that's supported our efforts to get more South Africans to act like tourists in this beautiful country of ours 🇿🇦❤️ We are busy putting the finishing touches on a series of videos where @J_MartinStrydom and I drove from Joburg to Cape Town and captured some content about a bunch of small towns along the 10-day journey. Our first video in the series will be featuring Gariep Dam, Nieu-Bethesda, and Valley of Desolation. We are about two weeks away from uploading the first video and it's significant to us because we've always wanted our channel to feature the smaller towns that are so incredible and yet most people often just pass through them. If we can shine a meaningful spotlight on these towns and that equates to more people visiting then we would have done well 🥰 Thank you so much for all your support once again. Every subscriber, view, comment and share goes a long way to promoting this beautiful country of ours 🇿🇦❤️
