@crockpics The Who (with Keith Moon), 1974, Toronto. A wall of sound that had my ears still ringing when I woke up the next morning. Nothing comes close for me since.

@GinoHard_ Puck was clearly not kept in motion towards the goal. Should have been disallowed. But I’ve never seen NHL refs call this infraction

Now the question is whether that should have counted... Dustin Wolf was wondering the same thing 😅

@ByMHarrington We must be looking at different plays. The Pens player skated into the crease, made contact with the goalie’s skate knocking him off balance &/or out of position & not being set for the shot. Easy call. And the correct one

This album DID NOT make my Top 70 albums of the 70s list but does it make yours? 🤔 Alice Cooper: Billion Dollar Babies (1973)

Craig Baird - Canadian History Ehx
Dave Keon was one of the greatest NHL players of his era. A strong defensive forward who played a clean game, he helped the Maple Leafs win four Stanley Cups in the 1960s. He is considered by many to be the greatest Maple Leaf player in history. This is his story. 🧵 1/12

@oldhockeycards Many reasons this series was intense & tops them all. It lasted 1 month so the drama & excitement built up. Canada made an epic comeback after looking like sure losers. This was the 1st time Canadian pros played their Soviet counterparts. The series can never be duplicated

@GraigMurphy @oldhockeycards For those that didn’t watch the series, the Clarke slash has elevated mythical over the years. The slash happened in game 6. Kharlamov missed game 7 but played game 8 & got 1 assist. His ankle was not broken. It was a deep bruise that hampered his play for sure but that’s it

@oldhockeycards Yes, because Parise threatened to decapitated a ref and Bobby Clarke used his stick like an axe on Kharmalov shattering his ankle.

@mbafuqua @pre2000hockey Frank. Game 4 in Vancouver. Canada was on their way to losing their 2nd game of the series. Frustration was brewing. Frank lost his cool, collided with Tretiak & sat on him for 10 seconds or more.

@NHL_Muse I’m not a Sabres fan but how you can justify not including them as a serious contender is baffling to me. They have been the best team in the league for over 3 months. This isn’t a blip. It’s a consistent trend.

@Bobbyb_ @JeffVeillette Not all shots are created equal. Woll’s expected goals against was roughly what he let in. Making the shot that eluded him in OT that much more critical. I’m not criticizing his overall play but sometimes to win a game, you need your goalie to make that critical save. Woll didn’t

Admittedly I didn't catch this game so maybe I'm missing something, but the shots were 36-22, attempts 80-44, and high-danger chances were 21-8, all in Carolina's favour. Carolina had 5 xG and won 4-3 in OT. That's when you use your "goalie needs to make a save" bullet?
Mark Masters@markhmasters

Craig Berube on Joseph Woll, who has started five of the last six games: "He’s played well, but, like, tonight, in the end, I think, I don’t think, I know we need a save. Whether it’s the OT or one of the breakaways, you know, you just need a big save there." @TSN_Sports

Canadian PM Carney visited PM Takaichi in Tokyo, treated his host with respect, and signed a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Japan. Trump sat with Takaichi in the White House, blathered like an imbecile about Pearl Harbor, and damaged U.S. relations with Japan.
