#Habs Nick Suzuki needs 26 points in his last 20 games in order to reach 100 points. Not an easy task, but it's certainly achievable. I don't think anyone had him reaching such a ceiling.

Canadiens will have a chance to pounce on great players as the cap rises to $113M in 2027. Teams with internal caps (and there will be a number) will have to shed players.
And 2027 lines up beautifully with the Habs Stanley Cup contender window. Be patient (and hang on to Hage)

@brenmidov I agree with you here. You have 3 goalies they can play in the playoffs. Have a showdown between them— they get experience. Hughes evaluates. And revisit goalie position in the summer.

Coaching - felt like they left a lot on the table. @mike_p_johnson said it— all these players are stars on their respective teams but many were brought to their knees.

I'm finding it so funny reading my timelines, listening to sports media today, that so many are absolutely closed to the notion that there can be ANY criticism of the coaching of Team Canada. They shout at us – Hellebuyck stole the game, Canada was the better team. 1/

@SBrooks_77 @thegoldenmuzzy Ya. We knew. And I admittedly thought they needed to trade him to help the rebuild. But in hindsight he would have been perfect now —- nobody knew the rebuild would advance this fast.

Nick Suzuki is arguably a top 5 Canadian forward but not at wing. if you are not going to play him at center then you're better off not dressing him. However put him on a defensive line and ask him to go against the oppositions best and he'll succeed.

@woumaxx Suzuki is firmly in "Bergeron territory". And he doesn't have the luxury of playing on an air-tight team (yet?). I think all the analytics people who called him a maybe 2C for the last few years based on underlying numbers should standup and confess being drunk on advance stats.

@HabsOnReddit Still gets lumped in with Larkin and stutzle lol. Hes a shutdown center on pace for 98 pts. Its like comparing duchene to toews back in the day
