Correct, because it was not hard to make better life decisions than this trash. There are better jobs, better housing markets, better churches, better communities to be part of than this. Doesn’t change that the job market isn’t great, house market sucks (10 years ago that frumpy house would be 50k), and that community just like every other small town is full of meth and fentanyl even if it isn’t the county jail dump-off community (which it might be, and that might be why it’s “cheap”). What exactly is the point of this kind of post? Just engagement bait?

I hear ICE are up to 1,200 per day now.
To remove all 50m by the end of the Trump presidency, they only have to get that number up 46,000 a day.
At the current rate it will only take 41,666 days or 114 years to remove all 50m illegals. Estimates are that illegal entries have dropped from 925,000/year to 185,000 per year. That is still 506 per day coming in. That means the net drop is roughly 700 per day. That means if you were to remove every illegal it would, at current rates of net removal, it would take 71,428 days, or 195.69 years to remove all 50m.
Even if you accepted progressive friendly numbers of 11m illegals, at a net 700 per day removals, it will only take 15,714 days or another mere 43 years to remove all illegals.
This makes one wonder about the degree to which this is performative. What would happen if, even assuming the low number, that they were to try to get the job done by the end of the Trump presidency, 1078 days from now, they were to increase enforcement arrests and deportations to 10,204 per day, every day, how would this increase the temperature surrounding immigration enforcement? Would it be Minnesota but 10x worse? Does this instigate an existential conflict?
Some of these problems, like mass immigration, legal or otherwise, are much easier to create than they are to solve.
I suspect, given the numbers, ICE enforcement is going to become an increasing fixture of American life. What will be the escalation solutions when someone argues, “We can’t just keep this up forever.” Is this the new neo-con “everwar”?
