To all of the MAGA Republicans and ICE defenders who are claiming that this woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota, tried to run ICE officers over with her car before they shot and killed her, here is the actual video. As you can clearly see, there are three ICE officers to the side of her car, and she slowly pulls away as they shoot her in the face. This is Trump‘s America.

@EdKrassen The officer should not have put himself in that position. 1) they are driving unmarked cars. 2) they are in Civilian clothing She probably didn't even know if they were actually ICE agents. This is poor management by a poor administration

@DjsRichardson @EdKrassen She was obviously already trying to leave before the second unmarked vehicle pulled up. Then they demand that she leaves her vehicle, and she can't be sure if they are even law enforcement. The officer put himself in a position that he should have never been in.

If an entire job site disappears in Charlotte the second ICE shows up, it’s because the companies chose illegal, cheap labor over hiring Americans, and now they’re finally paying for it. Hire actual Americans and the projects won't be collapsing.

STEVEN, I’m a big fan of yours, but I think this argument is a little bit disconnected from reality. I’m a general contractor and have been in the industry since 2007. Maybe I’m just speaking for myself in my area, but finding American workers who do quality drywall , Framing, demolition is damn near impossible in Los Angeles. This is for a multitude of deeper reasons. 1. The younger generation is taught to look down on the trades. 2. I’ll manually retreats are pretty much dominated by illegals. 3. Even if there were a unicorn legal tradesmens in these illegal dominated areas, they would do half the work for double the price. Hate on cheap labor all you want, but don’t complain when seemingly small projects end up costing an exuberant amount of money. I agree that this is a problem and that it shouldn’t be this way, it is only but a symptom of a broken system.

No one is preventing Joe America from applying to pour concrete, tar roofs, or do stucco work. Construction pays $20-$30 p/h for unskilled work and goes up based on skill/trade. The reality is that most young men w/o college degrees would rather scoop diced chicken into your Chipotle bowl or drive for DoorDash than to commit themselves to 5 days p/w of physical labor.

@scrowder Lol.. I grew up working construction and we use to pick up illegals from home depot all the time. They were very cheap back then. The issue is Americans dont want that type of work anymore. I got a nice office job making over 150k a year, I dont have to work in the heat anymore

The most likely outcome is that AI and robots make everyone wealthy. In fact, far wealthier than the richest person on Earth 👀 By this, I mean that people will have access to everything from medical care that is superhuman to games that are far more fun that what exists today. We do need to make sure that AI cares deeply about truth and beauty for this to be the probable future.
