I live in an area with few illegals and construction companies here are all American citizens. The average pay is $30-$35 an hour and the final costs are no more than houses in areas where cheap labor is used. It’s because the owners don’t make as much profit. They still profit a lot and live VERY well, just not as much as those in larger cities.

If an entire job site disappears in Charlotte the second ICE shows up, it’s because the companies chose illegal, cheap labor over hiring Americans, and now they’re finally paying for it. Hire actual Americans and the projects won't be collapsing.

@rizzzmax @scrowder Im a white American worker who used to work in construction. I will work for you but i maybe abit rusty as it has been over 15 years. Also I have a masters in accounting now. I need about $100 an hour to match my current pay.

@rizzzmax @scrowder I have been doing commercial construction for 10 years now you can’t find qualified Americans because you aren’t willing to pay for them. They are out there but they want 1.5x or 2x what illegals and Mexicans want. Because Americans have a higher standard of living.
