중국산과 한국산 시멘트의 성분 차이는 어떨까? 환경부 공인 연구소인 한국화학융합시험연구원에 한국산 1종류와 중국산 2종류의 시멘트 성분 분석을 의뢰했다. 지난 6월 최종보고서를 받았다. 크롬(크로뮴)은 한국산과 중국산에 크게 차이 나지 않았다. 그러나 크롬을 제외하곤 납, 니켈, 구리, 비소 등의 유해 물질 차이가 컸다. 중국도 시멘트 제조에 철광석 대신 철슬래그 등의 비가연성 산업폐기물을 일부 사용하지만, 대한민국 시멘트 공장들처럼 엄청난 양의 산업폐기물을 사용하지 않는다는 뜻이다.
