🧵Since the start of the war, media outlets, NGOs, and so-called researchers have pushed the claim that Israel “targets journalists” to “silence the press.” But when you actually examine who these “journalists” were and the circumstances of their deaths, a different picture emerges: many had direct familial ties to Hamas or were members themselves. And, in numerous cases, those labeled “journalists” were not journalists at all. That is the case with Issam Mohamed Sobhi Bahar.
