The only thing traffic in the oncoming lane can do is stand still, but that means the lane the police car, or ambulance, can’t move forward because traffic can’t move through everyone who’s inched forward into Pembury Circus

Oh my days @hackneycouncil have properly fucked up this Amhurst road renovation, it’s a standing bus jam. And when a police car or an Ambulance come this way, there is nowhere for anyone to move to let it through, because the road has been narrowed with plant beds

@ediz1975 @hackneycouncil Same bit of Amhurst Road in January, when work was underway. This ambulance was stuck because traffic was down to one lane and cars kept coming. The paramedic had to get out and direct traffic. It’s really no better with two lanes when they’re packed with stationary buses

We are deeply saddened and shocked by the senseless attack in the early hours of this morning at the Hatzola Northwest ambulance base.
Hatzola NW, along with all Hatzola organisations, provides life-saving services without discrimination, regardless of faith or background. It is extremely distressing and difficult to comprehend that such a vital service could be targeted and attacked in such a way.
We are working closely with the police and relevant support agencies to ensure the safety and security of our premises and resources, so that we can continue to respond swiftly to emergencies.

ISIS has finally released photos from ISWAP’s Eid celebration. Bottled water and fizzy drinks are easily identifiable in the pictures. Despite the remoteness of its location, obtaining supplies is no problem for ISWAP. Civilian collaborators are willing to risk everything for huge profits, as ISWAP sometimes pays more than double the market value for goods.

It shouldn't need to be said. But Hatzola isn't a Jewish volunteer organization only for Jews. It serves the local community, both Jewish and non-Jewish alike. Its primary motivation is to save lives.
By failing to make this clear, too many media outlets like @SkyNews are unwittingly failing to stem the antisemitic lies rapidly gathering pace on social media that Jews only look after each other.

4) The ambulances hit belonged to an organisation called Hatzola (the Hebrew for 'rescue'). It operates in Jewish communities in different countries, but - and I cannot stress this enough - IS AVAILABLE TO ALL. IT DOES NOT JUST PROVIDE MEDICAL HELP TO JEWS.

Years ago I used to have nightmares that reporting would become limited to “an incident has occurred” and then no further detail permitted. Over 17 hours after the initial “incident” in Leicester the BBC says this all “we know”
