@Redgmac @tenyearsnow HRC stood for everything Bernie was fighting against. I gave up voting, registered independent & have yet to vote in an election after watching Bernie concede & play “politics” and tuck tail. Because of that, we got Trump, then Biden the walking corpse, & Trump again 😔

@tenyearsnow I really thought this was a sign, I was wrong, I went door to door for HRC after the primary, I knew what trump would bring to the presidency.

But way way less than factory, computer jobs etc. but overall I can agree it’s going to be a major problem if they don’t come up with a way to support the people who will/are losing their jobs due to ai. Think the trades are safe from AI? Think again.

But every single jobsite is diff, has its own rules, conditions etc. until every home, business, hospital etc are built from one design and one design only. Ai will never be able to adapt to all the diff variables that come with construction imo.

@_Guas_ @xSoloTrades @ElofsonJess @BretWeinstein There's a lot more moving parts and vulnerabilities yes. But you can imagine the capacities of a single machine with this kind of dexterity and with access to all the technical knowledge of every trade. Imagine it working under expert supervision.

So how does that AI bot know that it has to climb up on duct work to trace a circuit, then go ask someone where the electric panel is, then go get the wire that’s being delivered in the rain, then find its way back, run the wire, etc on top of the variables in said setting?

They also don't understand AI has already made it so anyone with a brain and the will can do their jobs now. We have master electricians in our pocket...

@xSoloTrades @ElofsonJess @BretWeinstein Have you worked blue collar? I have/do 22yrs union laborer. And I can tell you that there’s no way a robot will be able to do the jobs of any tradesman. A construction site, with its diverse environment/conditions is too unpredictable for a robot to adapt to on the spot

For example, cursing in front of a child is considered inappropriate but not pedo. Or making a sex joke is inappropriate but if it’s not about or towards the minor 🤷‍♂️
