What a Shame! Comparing a legendary revolutionary who laid down his life for the freedom of his nation based on clear principles to a group involved in the events of Oct 7 is not just historically illiterate, it's an insult to Bhagat Singh’s legacy. Stop dragging our national icons into global conflicts just for cheap political points.

Hamas, the gang-πapists who kidnapped babies, slaughtered 1,200 innocent Israelis on Oct 7, filmed their atrocities and uploaded them online, is now being called "Bhagat Singh" by Imran Masood, Priyanka-Rahul's favourite kid, Imran Masood.

Advaita Vedānta is the philosophy of non-dualism, consolidated by Adi Shankara. According to this school of thought, the true inner self (Atman) is not the ego, the body, or the mind, but is identical to the ultimate, infinite reality (Brahman). This realization is captured in the Mahavakya (Great Saying) Aham Brahmasmi -"I am Brahman." To explain why we see a world of many different objects and people instead of one unified reality, Advaita introduces the concept of Maya. Maya is the creative power or illusion that overlays the singular truth, much like how a dreamer perceives a vast world that exists only within their own mind. In the context of modern thinkers like Sam Altman, this philosophy resonates because it views consciousness as the primary fabric of existence. For those building Artificial General Intelligence, Advaita offers a framework where intelligence isn't just a biological accident, but a universal property that can potentially be tapped into by any sufficiently complex system.

Aditya Dhar has made yet another government sponsored project with Ranveer Singh Dear Muslims, this Eid spends your money on family, food & happiness, not on a propaganda film that doesn't respect you Dhurandhar 2 a new chapter of propaganda? Bollywood has run out of creativity, only the agenda remains. No story, no soul just selective history glorification Not watching. Not promoting. Not buying the narrative. My ticket won't go to propaganda. I will boycott #Dhurandhar2

@jsaideepak If the truth about terrorism riles certain people up, they're only proving why this movie needs to be seen. If they're more offended by a movie than the actual acts of terrorism it depicts, they're priorities are misplaced.

In the face of terrorism that claims hundreds of innocent lives every year, inaction isn't non-violence but it’s a violation of Dharma. The Bhagavad Gita isn't a manual for passive retreat; it is a call to righteous battle (Dharma-yuddha). Krishna’s command to Arjuna is clear: When the innocent are at stake, the warrior must act. In the Bhagavad Gita Krishna says that for a warrior (Kshatriya), there is nothing higher than a war waged for righteousness. To flee the battle would be a sin and a mark of cowardice. Krishna isn't telling Arjuna to fight out of hatred or anger, but out of duty. You fight because it is necessary to preserve the cosmic order (Dharma), regardless of whether you win or lose. You need to protect your society while uplifting it as well.

Swades is the perfect example. It included a religious reference. the entire Ramayana segment but never attempted to stir anger, instead, it aimed to uplift society. This is how religious references should be used, unlike what Dhar did in Dhurandhar 2
r@bekhayalime

Intentions are what truly matter. Nolan quoted the Bhagavad Gita to convey Oppenheimer’s remorse over creating the nuclear bomb, while Aditya Dhar used the Gita quote to stir anger among people. Similarly, films like Swades, Lagaan, and The Legend of Bhagat Singh referenced religious texts, but their purpose was never to provoke anger.

Yes. Being a bengali, my mother, sisters, grandmothers and all married females in Bengali family owns a bridal benarasi saree. While Bengal has its own rich textile traditions like Jamdani and Baluchari, the Benarasi (from Benaras) specifically in shades of "Shindoor" red or maroon became the definitive bridal uniform for Bengali women. Bengali royalty and the Zamindars (landlords) were major patrons of Benarasi silk. In the 19th and early 20th centuries, it was common for wealthy Bengali families to travel to Benaras or commission specific weavers to create heirlooms. The use of pure Katan silk with intricate floral motifs (Butidar) or vine patterns (Bel) became the standard for high-status Bengali weddings. It eventually became soul of Bengali bride. Before 1947, the preference for Benarasi sarees (from Benaras) was uniform across undivided Bengal. Claiming its origin without knowing the very basic of it is atrocious. Who will tell them history doesn't start from 1947!

A sari that is literally named after an Indian city from where it originated is now being called “not exclusively Indian.” Banarasis are popular in your country and owning them has become a family tradition but the sari remains Indian heritage.
নাহিদা 🇧🇩@naads_6

@theprathamesh5 Banarasi saree isn’t exclusively Indian.it’s a shared South Asian heritage. Our brides have been wearing it on their wedding days for generations. My maa has it, my grandmothers this tradition runs in every BANGLADESHI household.

Most of you are completely missing this part of #Dhurandhar2 , where Aditya Dhar very deliberately shows the misuse of “Sar Tan Se Juda” slogans and blasphemy rumours, and how such narratives are weaponised. He literally builds a sequence where ISI-backed elements exploit fake allegations to get an innocent man killed, just to serve their agenda. Tell me this isn’t relevant in today’s time, especially after what we saw post the Nupur Sharma episode. And that’s just the beginning. He then moves to Punjab : exposing the drug crisis, the systematic brainwashing, and how separatist sentiments like Khalistan are kept alive and fuelled. It’s not surface-level commentary, it’s layered and uncomfortable, the kind most filmmakers avoid. Then comes the ISI–terror–gangster–drug nexus angle extending into UP, connecting dots that many pretend don’t exist. The Atiq Ahmed connection. The Dawood Ibrahim part. This isn’t just storytelling. This is a full-blown mapping of the internal and external threats India is dealing with today. Bold, unapologetic, and brutally relevant. Very few filmmakers have the clarity or courage to do what Aditya Dhar has done here.

Carved by King Kharavela, the third ruler of the Mahameghavahana dynasty of Kalinga in the 1st or 2nd century BCE. Prakrit Transliteration: ...Bharadhavasa-pathanam mahato cha sena-sahayena jitva... English Translation: "...In the tenth year, he [Kharavela], who embodied policy, reflection, and stability, caused a great army to march towards Bharatvarsha for the conquest of that land..." This Hathigumpha Inscription is widely considered the earliest known epigraphic (inscriptional) use of the term Bharatavarsha.

Evolutionarily, humans have a heightened sensitivity to petrichor because it signaled the arrival of life-giving water to our ancestors. Humans can detect geosmin at 5 to 100 parts per trillion. For comparison, a shark's threshold for blood is roughly 1 part per million. Biologists and anthropologists suggest that our ancestors relied on this scent to track seasonal changes and find fertile grounds. That good feeling we get when it rains is actually a deep-seated survival instinct. Science calls it geosmin; our DNA calls it home!

This was told to me by a 65yo gardener. The smell of rain has a name and it’s called “saundhi khushboo” in Hindi. And “petrichor” in English. It comes from oils released by plants and a compound made by soil bacteria. When rain hits dry ground, it spreads into the air and that’s what you’re actually smelling. Completely useless in daily life. But once you know it, you’ll notice it every single time it rains.

In Hindu philosophy, the rarity is an illusion of Maya. Consciousness (Brahman) isn't rare; it’s the fundamental fabric of the entire universe. What’s rare is the hardware (the mind) pure enough to reflect it. The Great Filter isn't just biological; it’s also the rare transition from matter to self-awareness.
