It’s this mentality that makes you lose IPs to “gay race communism”, btw. You have just ceded ground to allow these types of people to take a clearly Christian work and infect it with their mentality because you think yourself above it all. It’s now “up to interpretation” and I know the right will not put up the fight to make sure their original intent is what remains popular, they will lose based on their “principles”. @Critical_Scribe You can see that the dev team definitely tried to give the side quest more subtance by having npcs explain their or other’s circumstances. Problem is it alot of told but not shown. And even they aware of how painfully mediocre the side quest is with the teleport to npc buttons.

I honestly have the opposite opinion. They should have made each city a separate hub zone with some light exploration elements and nixed the “open zones” for more of their curated dungeon designs. This puts you in the more interesting locations without sacrificing dev time on relatively empty maps, you can now give your side quests more engaging executions by making them like the story missions, and now there is a narrative focus to it all that drives the story home better.

Y’know, I really think FFXVI could be benefit from being a witcher 3 wannabe game. All of this interesting setting and world only to be gated behind a restricted MMO-ish design.

Putting the obvious miscast aside. Everyone gonna have a problem with whoever get casted as Snape one way or the other because Alan Rickman embodied Snape.
