For all the constant flack Psychedelics Anonymous catches from doubters and haters, I’ve yet to see one realize they’ve been talking about PA for two years straight. For better or for worse, you wouldn’t talk about something for years unless it was memorable. Lesson in that.

august 9th, 2023 was the day we launched "degods season iii" it was the day after - that it became clear to me the depth of the problems we had within our company. it started when we created @dust_labs in 2022 - a venture backed business - to create SaaS tooling for Web3. the idea was to create a separate company to build the technology that we would use & then popularize. meanwhile the original business @delabsxyz focuses on building the community. at the time it made sense. it was the depth of the bear market & we were in the middle of an 11 month run of new ATH's like every week. how could a new company, with an experienced new CEO, a new business stream... possibly hurt? the red flags started to become apparent immediately. the software team bloated out. priorities started to shift away from our community. our best people & key resources were stacked for @dust_labs, which i really didn't have much control over. it was like 2 boats rowing in opposite directions. eventually, almost everyone burned out. after august 9th, i tried my best to stay positive - but i just knew that our issues were deeper. the changes i wanted to make were just too intense to accidentally leak on twitter. after a 2-year run of being active on twitter almost every single day, i had to stop tweeting. this began the multi-month process of fixing the company from the inside. so, here's what we did: • we merged @delabsxyz & @dust_labs into a single company. • we decided to part ways with Kevin • our team is currently 13 people full-time w/ >2 years of runway • i am now the CEO of the merged company at this point - you might be reading this & thinking - "ok, so now what?" and i could sit here and tell you all the bullish things & how as CEO i'm going to do all of these things & then we can all get hyped about it for 2 hours & then back to more of the same. i've had a version of this post sitting in drafts for a while. it followed all the rules of communications 101. it was strong & confident & forward looking... it just felt hollow. the truth is much more simple. i'm confident in our future because of our team. the outside-the-box thinking. the raw talent. the work ethic. this is a list of everyone on the team full-time today: 1. @0x_chill 2. @thebasedbob 3. @taylordegods 4. @wolvrinheart 5. @LeonardMainnet 6. @aarondegods 7. @malcolmDeGods 8. @sircandyapple 9. @budaz__ 10. @C00perNFT 11. @jerryfeng 12. @pastagotsauce my simple request is that you follow each of them. each person on this list is at least a little autistic. valhalla or bust. lock in lock in you honestly have to be a little crazy to still be here. whether that's on the team or in our community. but you have to be fucking nuts to fade us now. godspeed, inshallah. 2024.

My story with DeGods is somewhat epic. As a usual degen, I minted 2 DeGods on October 8th 2021. I wasn't in the team. Then got deep into collection on-chain metadata, trying to rank DeGods based on rarity. Shared the mythic ranking spreadsheet in the discord 1 day after mint, when no official ranking was available. That's when Frank noticed me and everything started to shift. Did contractor work for 2months, solving a lot of issues including airdropping DeGods to Exiled DeGods owners. I was almost the only dev available at the time. Frank asks me if i want to join the team in Art Basel end of November 2021. Never went to the US. Don't know the guy name. Ended up taking a ticket from Paris to Miami and being ghosted for 2days (classic). But this decision changed my life. Joined the team in January 2022 as an equal partner. That's when the collection was in its worst state: 3 sol sales, etc... Started brainstorming with Frank on how to make this work. We even mentioned going to Luna (lol). Decided to create DUST, a 0 pre-mined fair launch token, along side with staking. Then raffles, auctions, DeadGods, y00tlist, t00bs, y00ts... The story goes from there... This 2022 run-up was EPIC, we were euphoric. Going from the underdog the top collection. Then 2023 hits, we decide to bridge to Ethereum & Polygon. Hardest problem to solve as engineer, probably the thing I'm the most proud of. However building great engineering products doesn't mean success; that's one of the lesson of this journey. After season 3, everything started to shift. We went too far into the building meta, taking months to launch Points Parlor. It was a real eng W but not quite the success we expected on the community side. The NFT & crypto ecosystem is moving fast, you need to adapt to it, and cut products very fast if they're not relevant anymore. Even if you put all your blood and sweat to it. Today we're back at it again, somewhat underdogs. It's not easy to build in this environment. It's tiring, requires a lot of efforts, but I believe we will win again. By offering dope, fast & innovative experiences. Focusing on the community. This will be the greatest feeling ever. Blessed to work with such a team of big brains, especially the tight group of beast engineers @thebasedbob @LeonardMainnet @wolvrinheart & designer @budaz__. Feels like we can build anything together. God speed, love y'all. Comeback season.
